what got to me was the referee was reaching for a red card in his pocket after the Smith tackle but because of the shit storm that went down it was shown to Hamer and the Ref showed a yellow instead. (he was never goung to give two red cards)

Hamer is and will be a great player for us but it still does not get away with the fact that all 3 goals were as a result of him not doing his job he was 1/2 yard off the ball on all 3 occasions.

I thought O'Hare looked capable last night and showed some nice touches during the game and will be the influence we expect him to be over the season! Sheaf needs games and time to learn about his new colleagues! we need to beat the teams we should beat and learn from the quality teams.

MR needs to sort the players out and learn to play against the high press! and also get them to stop waiting for the ball to come to them! I counted 12 occasions tonight where the ball was passed and the receiving playing was not aware of the players around them and they had their pockets...

not at the races today im afraid! Harmer was quite inefectual today and if you look at the 3 goals i suspect he was part of the problem and not surprised he got sent off either cos he was getting fustrated with himself because he seemed to lack any pace and the game was passing him by.
