And it has been explained to you in words of one syllable why this isn’t going to happen. So possibly: a) you’re being deliberately perverse b) you don’t understand what a contract is c) you’re thick as mince. My guess is that it is a combination of all three.

So you’ve now moved on from claiming that 12:30 kickoffs are sterile to other reasons for not having them? Goalposts well and truly moved [emoji23].

    Burnley at Home

Possible, but it hasn’t happened much in the Championship in recent years. There are 7 premier league games on the Saturday so TV likely to be saturated with those games.

All the bank holiday games will be live on Sky. “All opening, final day, and midweek fixtures in the Sky Bet EFL will be shown live, as will all games played on Bank Holidays including Easter, Boxing Day and New Year's Day”

Going by the current schedule, then Easter games will be confirmed on 27th March (3 weeks and a bit ahead).

It looks like you weren’t at the Sheffield Utd or Luton games in October/November. Both 12:30 kickoffs, both cracking atmosphere. And we were floating around just above the relegation zone.

What have I seen the light about? Everything I’ve stated is blindingly obvious. No u-turn at all.

I don’t think it was, but there are many other examples, including Sheffield Utd and Luton this season. And did 12:30 affect the atmosphere at Oxford last week? I don’t think so.

No need to apologise, everybody is entitled to disagree. But interested to know how you would explain the Leicester and Fulham games then? The place was absolutely bouncing. For those who really can’t enjoy football without drinking, I’m sure they are on it during the morning when it’s 12:30...

You’ve just proved my point. If we were 16th it might be shit irrespective of the time. League position is just another factor, like opposition, results, state of the individual game, the weather. Nothing to do with kickoff time. You can rant at Sky as much as you want but it isn’t going to...

Ok, I’ll bite. We will never see that as a starting midfield unless Grimes is injured.

I’ve got no skin in the game but am grown up enough to accept that Sky pay the big money and therefore have a right to influence when games are played. Personally I prefer 3pm kickoffs for travel reasons but the notion that atmosphere is inherently worse for 12:30 kickoffs is just plain nonsense.

By sterile, I assume you mean lack of atmosphere? I don’t think that stands up, you just don’t like them. The kickoff time is fairly irrelevant to the atmosphere compared with other factors, i.e. how we are playing, the tension (or not) in the game, who the opponents are and even the weather...

FFS, does it matter? Anyone with a half a brain will know it’s not at 3pm. Do you want them to come and switch the TV on for you as well or can you manage that?

I would suggest “the press” are talking bollocks. The earliest change might be 2029/2030, so don’t think this qualifies as “soon”.
