    The good old days.....

They certainly contributed but it wasn’t what I was thinking of.

I wonder why that was? [emoji848]

    Boxing Day

The foggy night 2-2 draw was definitely a League Cup game.

I dislike Tesla/Musk more than most (so am definitely not an advocate for them) but how many Teslas are you aware of that have had to have new batteries?

I’m guessing because of the very limited LPG infrastructure and very little support from the manufacturers. I think most LPG vehicles in the UK during its brief popularity in the 90s were conversions rather than off the shelf.

You have a very specific set of requirements so I would agree that EVs are not for you. However EVs are clearly meeting the needs of many thousands of people and this number will only grow, especially when the incoming tidal wave of cheaper Chinese EVs really hits our shores. Like everyone else...

Surely the vast majority of people do not need >400 mile range? If you really need it then EVs are probably not for you. For most people, there are plenty of medium range (230-280 mile) cars in the £25-35k bracket which would suit the majority of people. If you’re happy to buy a low mileage...

Not sure what the problem is, it’s true. If you can’t charge at home then public EV charging is comparable cost to other fuels.

But if you use the Octopus smart charge schedule then you get the 7p rate for car charging irrespective of how many hours you use (not limited to 11:30 until 5:30) hence why I’ve had 8 or 9 hours at 7p sometimes. Obviously you only get 6 hours at the 7p rate for the rest of your house usage.

I recently bought Kia used approved (a demonstrator with 2000 miles on it) but it’s the full EV. Great peace of mind from the 7 year warranty and incredibly cheap to run (as long as you can charge at home).

Agree with everything you say but 130 miles is very conservative. I have put 240-250 miles in overnight at home on Octopus at the 7p rate; set it to ask for 100% on smart charge and plug it in early enough in the evening. In practice I don’t often let it get that low, so more normal is putting...

They had to adapt to the pitches they played on, it didn’t make it good to watch though. But if you saw Clarrie Bourton play I’ll obviously bow to your first-hand knowledge.

I didn’t forget the back passes, you must have missed that bit! Outlawing the back pass and awarding 3 points for a win were the most significant and positive law/rule changes most of us will have seen in our lifetimes.

    We can agree on that.

I’m guessing you’re the one shouting “forward” at every opportunity? If you took off your rose-tinted glasses, you’ld see that the standard of football and technical ability are now light years ahead of your good old days. Added to that, I’m sure you would also remember the dreadful pitches, the...

The “good old days” of rigid formations and dull, unimaginative football. Thank goodness we’ve moved on.

Right who's the next manager then?

Robins was definitely announced mid afternoon on the Sunday, I can’t remember when Slade was sacked (possibly on the Sunday morning?). It was the first good news we had had all season.

He was playing the same position as he did in the first half, LCB in a back 3. Rudoni for Kitching was a straight swap, no change in shape.
