There is no direct train from Euston to Southend, you have to change twice and it takes over 2 hours. The only direct train is from Fenchurch Street

Disagree. It did go shit for a number of years but it’s really good now with Fenners and Bullard

You’ll barely be on the tube anyway, less than 5 mins. At Euston get on the Northern line for 5 stops to bank then it’s a couple of mins walk to Fenchurch Street to catch the overground to Southend.

Direct trains from Rugby under 2 hours so I’m sorted and no need for hotels. Train from Cov to Rugby under 10 mins.

Anyone remember the name of the pub from a couple of seasons ago not too far from the ground which was jumping with indie & mod music and the bar lady got her boobies out? Great away day, gutted I couldn’t go last season so looking forward to Saturday.

Yeah bit of a pain but there is a direct train from London Fenchurch Street to Southend Central and there are pubs on the way to the ground so it will break the 25 min walk up.

It’s really easy by train. Cov to Euston, few beers then getting train to Southend which takes 40 mins. Booked last week for £38 return.

Pretty straight forward if you order online.
