We don't know that there ever was a deal. The only ones talking about this are Pompey themselves and it doesn't fit our normal practice of conducting transfers under the radar. If he does sign, great, he sounds pretty decent. If not....someone else will. I'll let Robins worry about it.

You have to think he would have options to play in MLS/China/UAE etc for big money. Failing that some of the lower premium teams might be tempted, the likes of Cardiff etc.

The team as a whole will score more goals this year. Jones, Andreu, Allesani, Sterling and Ogogo should all chip in a few. If Max and JCH kick on as well then goals shouldn't be too much of a problem.

It's worth a go, all the Comms have suggested he's here to play first team not warm the bench. Could be a decent foil for JCH/Biamou

So much of a strikers game is confidence and you could see Max growing into the role throughout last season. It's always a gamble but I think Max might just be very important to us this season

Le Fondre was immense when I used to watch him at Rochdale but that was a while ago.... Would have him here but would imagine other champ teams would be interested

Disappointing but not surprising. I felt we were always going to lose one of Bayliss or McNulty. It sounds as though it's the player that's pushing for the move, which if true, means there isn't an awful lot the club can do except try to get the best deal possible. True we could reject the bid...

I'd sooner have Nazon back on a season long loan. Can't imagine he's going to get much game time at Wolves and we are a division higher now. Seems like he enjoyed himself while he was here and we have seen what he can do.

Might have been Stokes' decision to go. With Junior Brown coming in Stokes wasn't going to be first choice and at his age he probably values first team football more than being in a higher division
