What I will say he’s a bit of “boring” midfielder. But I personally think exactly what we need for balance; that’s why the current system has worked well with Allen playing that deeper roll. That would be Grimes job instead.

Always thought he’s looked a good player at this level. Swansea fans probably can’t see it because he’s been there 10 years and he’d need to be the pivot in a well balanced midfield to get the best out of him. Would be impressed by this one. Does this mean Sheaf is potentially exiting sooner...

This. On here everyone’s been quite aware of opposition teams missing players. But opposition fans so far been blissfully unaware we’ve been missing our biggest goal threats. It’s pretty strange.

Did he not play that game as a lone striker that Robins said was the “best centre forward display he’s seen” this year? He was good in that game. Feel like he’s maybe just a bit inconsistent and when he has one of his ping pong ball first touches, maybe it gets in his head a little.

Think part of it is he’s also now learned / learning what you can get away with physically in the championship before refs start blowing the whistle / dishing out cards. I don’t know for certain but potentially the league he was in before was a bit less blood & thunder and refs less lenient?

I think better in a two. He’s not a wide forward either I don’t think.

I imagine he used that as example of where you have got something quite wrong to suggest he doesn’t trust your opinion. It does happen a lot so there were other examples he could have chosen, I admit 😂

Great player and had a good season up until last few games. If I was the manager I would however make him watch the moment when he shot yesterday 1000 x in a row. Game of fine margins and that was a poor decision at that moment in the game, from a player I usually expect to make better decisions!

It’s definitely felt like that would be the case since we’ve been utilising the new formation at least.
