Sorry if I missed someone else posting this.

Thats like saying the prisons have got a budget so may as well send this lot down for five years ?! A financial punishment would be more logical than custodial in this instance…there is no ‘rehabilitation’ for them, it’s a pure punishment/deterrent sentence which I personally think can be...

Thats their problem. If we lock them up it’s hundreds of thousands of additional costs to the tax payer

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Id personally rather a smaller initial custodial together with a significant fine covering costs relating to policing, damage etc and substantial suspended sentence as future deterrent

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Yeah, the sentencing does seem a bit out of kilter for certain crimes. The prison system just doesn’t appear to work currently, whether that’s sentencing, foreign criminals not being deported, rehabilitation/ reoffending etc

Don’t know enough about hydrogen as a viable option currently but I did see this https://www.hydrogenfuelnews.com/remove-toyota-hydrogen-car/8565795/ As you say there might be newer better ways in future but I get the impression they’re some way off

Sensible, considered and professional…you’d imagine these are the basic prerequisites for a party and it’s leader but maybe not.

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Surely Covid will give Biden an easy out that protects his ego (he’s as bad as trump on that’s score) Also, now, I’m not fan of Maitlis but look at this nutter she’s interviewing. Also saw a similar interaction between a Times reporter and another female republican. They’re crazy!

    Southgate

Think I mentioned before, the goal against Spain took 16 seconds from Pickford throw out (how often did that happen ?) to Palmers goal. Caught Spain on the hop and should’ve done this far more often with the players we’ve got…would’ve helped having Gordon on for more than 4 minutes as well ! As...

You do wonder WTF a lot of them, especially Home Secretaries have been doing. Like Bravermann banging on about migration when she oversaw in net 700k+ 🤷‍♂️ Saying that the home office has always been a shitshow (I remember John Reid calling them out 25 years or so ago)

He’s a decent bloke and the best they’ve got as leader. Wrong time though

I agree that the performances were pretty poor at the Euros with the exception of the Netherlands first half. From memory though our QF against France in the World Cup we were very good and arguably deserved to win. If Kane scored his pen we might well do

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Talking of nutters I just heard Andrew Ramsey joint leader of the greens on the radio, what a shambles. firstly, thinking re-nationalising energy, rail and water would only cost £30bn and then trying to defend his position on delaying/blocking the new grid pylon route through east anglia which...

    Obikwu

See how he and taveres get on in pre season. I trust robins to make the right call. It’s going to be tricky to attract a really good player either on loan or permanently to basically sit on the bench. If simms got injured, you’ve got wright who can play down the middle with Mason Clark and...

    Southgate

Howes far more inspired that Southgate was when he took over and he was the most successful England manager since Ramsey. Brought Bournemouth up through the leagues, saved Newcastle from relegation and took them into the champions league the following year. Been coaching since he was 30 and done...

    Southgate

The ‘bald Spanish bloke’ might’ve been unknown to us but he had won euros with U19 and U21s, presumably with a few of the players from this tournament. That consistency and familiarity of approach and system would’ve helped them hugely. He’s obviously a top coach I do agree with you though...
