Not really, we haven't been exposed to a hard game since Leicester. BTA played on the left that day. Tats supports MVE well and he's familiar with the job and the position as a winger. Grimes and Kitching cover left back very well at the moment but they can't do both.

I agree. Maybe he'll switch BTA to the right but that exposes Milan much more. If Haji's not up to it BTA will start through the middle you'd think, ahead of Simmo, but I don't see why he wouldn't be if he arrived back yesterday.

It was a Tuesday evening game over there. If he came back on Wednesday he'll be there. 60 or 70 mins and a bit of a break before Tuesday night and ready to go again. :)

One thing haji knows from early in a game is whether he's got the pace over the defender. That burst of speed over just 5 or 6 yards was enough to get the shot away! Great stuff.

About 2 seconds in real time, not much more. The keeper isn't shit, he has 100 caps over 13 years and is the Aussie captain.

The keeper wasn't set. He had just back pedalled 6 yards to get himself into some kind of position as the defence was caught out by the quick free kick. He was beaten by the shot, which Haji hit early and very well. I think I know what I saw.

Everything looks easy for a keeper - in slow motion!

He connected really well, that's what beat the keeper. Almost the prefect shot.

It was Pochettino who told us that Haji arrive in the US injured back in June. His achilles problem was still troubling him then, which was a good few weeks of rest after the playoff games. As reported in the Telegraph: “It’s always sad to see a player leave, because the group was very good...

He was injured, that's pretty well established now. He arrived at the US camp afterwards carrying that!

My brother, just by chance, met an Antalyaspor on holiday around that time, they loved him over there. Nothing like a hat trick in your first game!

At least. If he has a good world cup off the back of a 20+ goal season we might be talking double that quite easily.

Terrific turn of pace over 6 yards for the first goal. I wish he had that much space to play off the last defender every week in the Championship! I've been a Wright fan since he hit the bar against Leicester in his first game, Desert Orchid in a field of blackpoll donkeys as we used to say! I...

I imagine that he hoped that he would have a better game! Some players don't respond well to being dropped after having a mare, he might be a bit deflated...

Wales online gave him 4/10 for the England match "A hapless bystander at times. Cut to ribbons by Gordon and Saka." Anyway, I hope it's not affected him whatever anyone else thinks of the performance.
