An Irishman told me all about it in a bar in Belfast, what happened back then was shocking really and I'd imagine that >90% of us in England know nothing about it
That is no longer the case, the Italian league is a good watch. The football is exiting, the refs are good and on the whole let the game flow. They actually seem to let the game flow there too, it's less annoying to watch than English football
Nooo brum at home last season was the pits. Watching their lumbering CB amble from one side of the pitch to the other to aimlessly hurl the ball into our box was the worst
Shocking patch of form that. We were so shit after the world cup. I suppose you get them in the championship, across the board (Burnley seem immune) what makes it such a good division. The bad start for me felt like a result of the off field stuff which is somehow more annoying
Yea we coped well. We really didn't get going, we looked half a yard short at the start of the season. We never seemed to be able to get going in games, I put this down to the stop start nature of it and the last minute postponements. Can't have helped.
Agreed, the prime veiw is about level with where you walk out of the concourse into the bowl itself. The bits with atmosphere always tend to be the cheap seats, behind the goal and corners (in most stadiums), ordinarily isn't an issue but our stewarding is so ott it's beyond a joke.
