Think the time to discuss all this is after Friday, letting Howley go out on loan suggests to me there are irons in the fire we need bodies in to give us decent squad depth.

Agree, our subs bench isn’t strong enough & now with a couple of our youngsters out on loan we need bodies in. Eight left in the summer and to date we have only brought ten in one a goalkeeper as we know this is a tough division and a strong bench and reserves are essential.

We can do better than McCallum was a good lad here, but Norwich haven’t been the best the last two seasons and McCallum has not exactly been pulling up trees there has had at leat two managers as well.

Another name being linked on the transfer grapevine. Don’t know too much about him but I’ll be surprised if MR goes for him or is even interested. Premier players are expensive fee wise if under contract and certainly wage wise.

As an old fashioned centre-half he’s great, an inspirational barn storming leader of the defence & team, going to be so difficult to replace. I’m sure MR has looked at other options and there have been all sorts of names and rumours banded about, bit of a headache for the manager.

Robins is obviously re-building the first team squad top to bottom, as new ones come in established players could well be pushed out, I think Palmer could come into that category. I like him, his bursts forward with the ball get you on the edge of your seat, but the end product let’s be honest...
