I think the squad is okay would love better who wouldn’t but we have two for all positions, our recruitment team have three/ four months to dig up some more quality for January, I think they will.

J Lati can play DM, that’s where he plays for Jamaica.

    Liam Kitching

It was, not sure if it was a tactic or just how it happened but the Stoke centre-forward can’t remember his name played two or three yards deeper and it left McFadz a bit in no-mans land with no-one to mark and get a grip of and did expose a lack of pace but yes as you say it seemed a one off.

Thing is we will probably never know and does it really matter, Robins wanted Kitching and has got him, backed by the chairman, let’s hope it’s the right decision. & we have another good young player we own on a 4 year contract.

That Stoke game I’d like to think was just one of those games we seem to get every season, but they did expose our central defence and could have scored a few more.

I agree with that, Eccles covered every blade of grass last week and against a good Sunderland midfield too. Would love him to add a bit more positivity to his game smack a few shots in etc.

What about Binks, watched him mid-week and admittedly Charlton were a young team but he looked the part, good on the ball, did a superb cross field 50 yard pass right onto our players toe and even scored a couple. I can see an eventual backline of Binks, Kitching, Thomas with Lati in front of them.

When you look at the above add, Allen, COH, new guy Kitching and a fit Taveres squad isn’t too bad imo. Would have liked a couple more in especially another striker, just need fingers crossed on the injury front I reckon we’ll be okay.

Who has said Kitching has cost £5 million ? As far as I know just a few planks on here.

Yes he will. My guess is Lati will move forward into the CDM roll, with our wing backs playing a high game it could work well. Despite negatives on here by the usual subjects Kitching is a serious good player, we have four out and out CBs now & can play our preferred back three or a flat back four.

    Cashman…

It happens, he was promising at Brighton but became surplus so we took the chance on him, that was the market we were in then.

Young players have to start sometime, I would have liked another striker recruited(still time) but failing that Obikwu has earned a chance to be fourth choice striker, as long as fans give him a decent chance and not expect an instant superstar he might surprise us all. He has good skills.

I doubt that as a starting eleven, sure it will be two strikers.

What about £43.5 million for Cole Palmer by Chelsea with a 7 year contract, a player who has only started 3 matches, transfer market has gone mad.
