We can't send out the kids and experiment ... supposing we do and lose, and Bristol also lose their last two games! Then what? Do you want to be left forever wondering if we should have played experience under pressure?
Thast is such a defeatist point of view. Supposing Bristoll lose both their games and we'd experimented and lost...how would feel then, always left wondering?!
Like I said a few posts back about fearing Doncaster now the pressure was off them! Difference is we're NOT DOWN YET so as long as there's something to play for, the pressure will be on.
Indeed...mismanaged funds, in fact no funds, means no depth in squad for crisis situations. Truth is none of us has the answer...only a sad feeling in our gut that it shouldn't be this way!
Well I think some players feel the lack of support more than others. And I agree with above post that it's no time to blood youngsters if the atmosphere on Sat is angry
How exciting that would be! Funny thing is I don't rule it out either. Bristol will relax and loose two games. City can now relax as if relegated and win two games. But what about Portsmouth? There's the rub!
Let's remember that the crisis we're facing today is not just the result of a bad season. The bad season is a result of many years mismanagement, poor judgement and bad investment. It's hard to see where or when that is likely to change...
Good point...I'd definitely choose Donny. But it would be the ultimate sickener to lose to them. It still remains a crucial game...well that may change by Tues evening, let's hope not...so I will have everything crossed on the day. And I'm a believer we'll survive...still!
As recent unexpected results prove, form is not something we can rely on to predict results. I'm suggesting that now Donny are no longer under the pressure of survival, they will most likely be a different proposition...
Thought I was going to be able to look forward to a fairly relaxed w/e....then Bristol happens. So now it's gonna be sleepless, sweaty, anxious just for starters.
Oh City! Why do you do this to us!!!
5 - 3 - 2 seemed to be quite exciting in the old old days...remember those? And why not...exciting wing play needed. 5 being the front line of course...for those unfamiliar!
Makes you realise just how important points early in the season are, when everyone seems so chilled...with the knowledge there are many games to come and many chances to make up for mistakes! HA!!!
