Another nice positive article in the CT

According to the notes to the May 15 accounts they put in £780k, and had £250k back sometime before end of Feb 16 which was when the accounts were signed.

    So the real Poll

Why would people not go because of that statement? The bigger reasons the gate dropped, maybe the only reasons, were it wasn't the first game back, and the price was twice as much. They should have charged more for the first game, and reduced the price of the second.

    So the real Poll

The Council should not stand in the way of this proposal, they should be encouraging it, part of their role is to encourage investment in the City. CCFC have no funds to spend on this, so SISU will have to cover any shortfall left after other grants, sponsorship etc, if they then decide to...

    Callum Wilson - windfall

Tommy has pretty much said it all, but to expand on the contingent asset part, the 2015 accounts said we could potentially receive up to £615k depending on whether the player (not named, but player rather than players so must only be Wilson) and their club attain certain objectives. Those...

You'd write it off as a bad debt, and hope you've got some other security in place.

You don't put the add on in the Accounts until it happens (I did say that):)

    Mean while back in court

Yep, pretty much as Dave says. I believe it was said that SISU weren't prepared to offer any security over the remaining £4m (£1.5m cash), so understandably they wouldn't accept that. The £2m offer was on the basis of buying without any Council agreement to sell their share, so the offer was...

The sale value will be recorded in the year they are sold, regardless of when the cash comes in. It would only be when an add on gets triggered and becomes payable that you'd record that amount.

Are you suggesting we received a down payment of around £2m, but the sale price, before any extra amounts that may become payable, was more than that?

    Callum Wilson - windfall

I'm afraid not, I doubt any club would give all the details out. I think the 10% of sell on profit has been confirmed, but that's all. If Bournemouth do sell two players to a club I wonder if they can just down value Wilson and increase the value on the other player to get around paying us 10%.

Pretty sure the accounts showed he was sold for £2m (before add ons).

    Mean while back in court

Certainly good advice to read everything that was said, maybe you should try it :) The Telegraph is picking up different parts that were said, jumbling them up a bit, and some context is lost. The only mention, in the court transcripts, of paying for something that was worthless, because it was...

The suggestion was the more generous £5.5m Tony. MR JUSTICE LEGGATT: Sorry, you're suggesting she thought 9 the company was worth nothing, but still would pay 10 5.5 million for it? 11 A. She recognised that they were a charity, yes.

That's not quite right, it was the £5.5m that was being offered as they recognised it was a charity, according to Deering in court.

ok, I'll try Q1 again, I think the message is easy enough to convey, so yes. :)

The possible use of the veto wouldn't detrimentally affect the rent negotiations, as shown by them agreeing the £400k in the first place.

    Mean while back in court

1/2. Yes I do, I don't believe that anyone thinks the rent was fair and affordable, but the way SISU has gone about things is not what most people think is acceptable. They could have been open with people, all the information about rent comparisons, limited access to revenues etc, it's all...

    Mean while back in court

If the reduction in rent was being classed as part of the original agreement, which it looks like it was, then we may well have still had the first option to buy Higgs share. I think that would have been enough to put Wasps off. No weaker position that the original position we were in when...

If they had agreed the deal, I would imagine so, and now they would be renegotiating it. Sounds a much better idea compared to what has actually happened.

    Mean while back in court

£400k for three years, and then to be renegotiated, according to the judge in the JR. JUSTICE HICKINBOTTOM: The suggestion here was 7 a three-year -- not quite holiday, but a three-year 8 reduction in the rent to £400,000, because it didn't 9 reduce the contractual requirement of £1.3 million...
