    FA Cup 2024/25

If they're visiting Wembley so often that its a legitimate reason for them to not sell out, then it means they're visiting too often

    FA Cup 2024/25

ITV cameras just panned to the empty seats again. Disgraceful for an FA Cup Semi

    Bottled It

W19 D9 L17 is infinitely better than W17 D13 L15 The only thing that matters is the amount of points

    Bottled It

What do you call 19 wins?

Lets look on the bright side

Everyone else was poor then though. The standard of 80s football was really low, so we were lucky it seems

Lets look on the bright side

The team of 87 that won the FA cup wasn’t very good then

Lets look on the bright side

Statistically it’s the best second division in the world. When you say we’re poor, who/what are you comparing us to? Because you seem to agree that there aren’t currently 6 teams better than us. So I’m confused as to what you’re using as a benchmark

Lets look on the bright side

Perhaps the other teams are actually quite good and so countered our performances?
  15. bigfatronssba

Lets look on the bright side

So that’s another poor team in the playoffs. Presumably you also think Sunderland are poor/lucky with the run they’ve been on? Sheff Utd must be as well after throwing away autos?

Lets look on the bright side

Your idea of a league table in a “good league” seems to be one where the top teams win every game and so there would be a massive points difference between 8th & 9th
  17. bigfatronssba

Lets look on the bright side

I mean it’s true if you ignore all the stats showing it as the best second tier in the world

Lets look on the bright side

Should Bristol City have it sewn up by now?
  19. bigfatronssba

Lets look on the bright side

But that’s the whole point of a league. It doesn’t matter how bad we are so long as we’re better than 18 other teams. I could claim Leeds are shite, and are only there because everyone else is worse

Lets look on the bright side

The point I’m making is for every lucky win, there is an unlucky defeat, and that balances out over a season. We deserve to be in the playoffs after 45 games because we are in the playoffs after 45 games. You say we don’t look like a top 6 team, which 6 teams do you think are better than us?
