    Adam Barton

Tbh, the more i read into this potential signing, the more i think it will be the cherry on top of the cake so to speak. AT's final nail may have just been hammered in. :o

    Doesn't sound very promising. :(

    Adam Barton

'On 25 February 2012, Barton suffered a suspected triple leg break and a dislocated ankle in a 0-0 draw against Walsall FC' A player often struggles to find form for ages after such a horrendous injury. It may take him all next season to get back to where he was, wherever that might have...

Should Cazarine be offered a contract?

I didn't think he'd be any good, but it sounds like he's done well and deserves a chance.

    1st 10 games - How many points?

I think a minimum of 17 points from the first 10 games and no less. Any less would be very poor. There are some good sides in League 1. It's going to be tougher than you think.

    Thorn Up To The Job?

I think he'll just about survive in League 1. I do like him but think he's had his time. For the future of Coventry City Football Club he needs to go, mainly because he'll forever be linked to the clubs relegation from the Championship. A new manager will give the club a much needed lift.

    Predictions

A slow start but will get more competitive as the season progresses. Top 6 until turn of the year, then a late push for the automatics. Will just miss out on second spot. A trip to wembley will follow where promotion will be achieved. Prediction: 3rd in League 1. Playoff final Winners. JPT...

    Portsmouth- what on earth

I wouldn't back Cov to beat 'em, not at the moment anyway.

    Why the Change of Mood?

I agree to some extent, but it doesn't bode well does it? Peoples frustrations with AT started a long time ago and that was in a higher division. With only League 1 football to look forward to, fans are becoming more vocal. The best way to shut people up is if a few friendlies were won.

    Why the Change of Mood?

    :laugh::laugh: Very true.

    Thorn should resign - TONIGHT

Your right, the pressure is already on, and maybe getting rid of AT might alleviate some of that pressure. Football usually works that way. You just can't get shut of a manager pre-season though. Give him at least a months worth of fixtures at least.

    Jordan Clarke

Somethings obviously wrong. Hopefully it's not a reflection of the mood of the whole squad else there's a massive problem. If it's just his opinion directed at AT then that's just football. Not every player sees eye to eye with the manager. In my experience it always leads to one or even...

    Thorn should resign - TONIGHT

I feel your frustration, BUT, it's far too soon to panic. Let's see the outcome of the first few League 1 games. The Sheff Utd game will be a good indicator. Lose that game badly then the pressure will be on. AT has brought a lot of new players in and they need time to settle in. It would...

My mate was at wrexham and...

That doesn't sound good. I try not to get carried away with results in pre-season friendlies, so long as the players have a good workout and get fitter by the game, that's the main thing. It's worrying if after all these games and training the players are looking unfit. Wrexham are a good...

    Zavon Hines in talks today

Nothing to lose signing him. Looks like it'll be trial and error upfront next season until the right formula is found.

McSheffrey is our best striker & should start up front.......

Cody, Sheff and Elliott are all good enough to fire the club to promotion, no question about it. Fitness will be the key to who starts and who doesn't. Sheff could easily get 18 goals next season.

    Jermaine Beckford

His wage demands would be huge and he's ego wouldn't let him drop into League 1.

Cody:I want a goal against Wrexham

If he does stay injury free, he could easily be the Leagues top scorer next season.

    The Chris Porter deal ..

I think Billy Paynter would be a good signing. He did well the last time he was in League 1, it just hasn't worked out at Leeds. Keep Wood and sign Paynter? Not interested in Rob Jones. Paynter's wages can't be that much can they? :thinking about:
