How much has Doug King spent to date ?

The debt is all owed to Doug King, so the debt is the amount he’s put in. All other expenditure has been covered from income. People are over complicating it by trying to work out what has been covered by player sales etc.

How much has Doug King spent to date ?

No, just £30m + losses since April 2024. The club has bought the stadium, not Doug King. Yes he will be covering any losses for the additional cost of the mortgage/loan, but the debt is with the club and the asset is with the club.

How much has Doug King spent to date ?

Doug King hasn't paid for any of these things. CCFC have paid for them. What Doug has done is cover the losses generated by these things. From memory, the last set of published accounts (for 2023-24) he had put in about £30m. Most of that was converting existing debt into equity.

    Reflecting on SISU

One thing we can say with certainly, is Mike Ashley & Frasers turned out to be the best landlords we ever had at the Arena!

    Reflecting on SISU

No they were completely wrong to do that, as legally they didn't have a leg to stand on. Challenging the sale to Wasps was a moral one, not a legal one.

    Reflecting on SISU

Sisu thought they could win a PR campaign against the council They did this AFTER spending several years proving themselves to be unfit and unproper owners of the club. If you're going to launch a PR campaign against an elected body, don't first spend several years pissing off the only people...

    Identity

A club museum would be a great idea.

    Stadium update

Can we now petition Doug to offer out regular stadium tours? I'd love to have a look behind the scenes and would raise a bit of cash for the club

    The King of Coventry

It might be a bit confusing if we name all 4 stands the "Doug Stand".

    Expectations Moving Forwards

Hasn't changed. Come the end of the 46 game season, I want us to be in Sunderlands position last year. Auto's are hard, but we're an established play off team now, we should expect that

    Stadium update

Its like when you move into a great house with decor that isn't to your liking. You know its now yours, for as long as you want it. No one can take it away from you. So there is no need to rush with changing it

    Stadium update

And that its a 250 year lease. None of us will ever see a CCFC home game outside the city again

    Identity

Doug mentioned today about how the ground should reflect the identity of the club, and then in the press release said about how they will be working on this over time. My proposal is something along these lines. What else do you want to see?

    Stadium update

Always remember my parents using the outdated name of "The Economic" to refer to the Cov Building Society. Not sure it should be revived. The "EBS" sounds like a bowel related medical condition. I don't want our ground to be linked to that.

    Stadium update

If those figures are correct though, good deal for us and Frasers

    New stadium

It feels strange, because its the best thing that has happened to the club in decades, and now once bought, there is nothing more to say about it

    New stadium

He'll try and get promotion first to maximise profit. Daft if he doesn't. We're as strong off the pitch now as we can possibly be. Doug will be here for at least two years/or when we get promoted. Whichever comes sooner
