Didn’t Rayner walk ? Different level of offences either way. Id never even heard of a selective licence until today, £1k is hardly a sacking offence

Yeah, their budget deficit is forecast to be 6.9% (revised up from 5.5). Ours is around 5%. The difference appears to be driven by Polands defence spending which is 4.8% of gdp (ours is about half that) Debt to gdp as you say is 55% increasing to 58% (far less debt than us and the older...

Think they have lower rates on both capital and income than us. Just googled and it says capital gains is flat rate 19% ? edit - not my specialist subject though, got to admit !

    Atmosphere

The weird thing is even when our atmosphere is poor, it’s still pretty good for a home team compared to others We need to up our game but I think second half at the weekend was not unexpected due to match situation and how we were trying to kill the game Needed twist and shout to get going !

Not many things I’ve disagreed with King on but this Cat A+ bollocks is one of them. Too much, especially for kids

Poor quality people in senior government roles (Johnson, Bravermann etc) focussing solely on ‘illegal immigration’ taking eye off the ball intentionally or otherwise on visas* etc. No plan or strategy around the requirements and management of needs in the wider economy and public services. Also...

    How is Aled Williams employed?

GKs and strikers need an arrogance to get over errors and misses, without that when things start going bad it’s hard to turn things around. Collins has got some good attributes to be a decent keeper but just didn’t seem to be able to get over mistakes, that lack of confidence then spreads to...

    Immigration and Asylum

The home office hasn’t been fit for purpose for 20+ years. In any other organisation there’d have been a massive clear out. Read this last week https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/clyl20gw4y2o.amp The culture across the board just sounds wrong to me and I get the impression the HO just does...

    Boxing 2025

Yeah, I’m with you, borderline early but I’d always err on the side of protecting the fighter. Parker was also in big trouble end of previous round and maybe saved by the bell. Think there was still a minute left of 11 when it was stopped Grear fight either way. What a fairytale for Wardley ...

    Watford Player Ratings

Watford looked a bit of a kryptonite team for us and how we set up defensively; physical, power and a lot of pace. So chuffed we dug out a win today but agree with a couple of others we won’t always have clinical finishing/rushworths worldies to dig us out. need to tighten up a bit, especially...

    Watford Player Ratings

One possible positional error for their goal although what Rushworth was doing out there im not sure and sloppy by BTA on touch line - not seen any deductions for them, but Kitching had a very good game otherwise. Also slipped Wright through for sending off with a great pass with his wrong foot...

Spot on. Heard Oggy on way home saying first half was best he’d seen for a while (both teams) and have to agree. Great to watch

Match Thread Coventry City - Watford FC Match Thread - Saturday 25th Oct

Another good win. Clinical going forwards but we’ve been riding our luck at the back a bit lately so wasn’t surprised when they scored. Rushworth excellent though. Watford were the best attacking team I’ve seen against us this season….loose at the back but very dangerous going forward Torp...

That genuinely wasn’t a dig. It was an observation from my memory of the time. Anyway, lets see what the inquiry throws up….I imagine we’ll both end up disappointed!

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Possibly. The NIC emp’er raise was a big mistake though and probably kept inflation a bit higher for longer (which also impacts borrowing costs). They need to be brave though, unless people see an improvement in public services before next election they’re fucked anyway

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Needs to happen though. Scrambling around down the back of the sofa isn’t working and there is no will in the party to address spending

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I share your frustrations but Johnson (eventually) and others rightly lost their jobs over the parties and ultimately the Tories lost the next election. Johnson/Hancock were the worst people we could ever have in charge in a pandemic but a lot of the peoples issues stem from the worldwide...
