It will work to achieve short-term aims but you could definitely build towards something stronger next year with smarter signings These players are all approaching the hill on huge contracts & they're already having issues moving on squad players as they know they won't get it as good anywhere else

If you sent Simms & BTA to Blackburn/Derby in a 5-3-2 they'd look like good championship strikers - like they did in our winning run In the way we play we either need a striker who will bully defenders or one who will drop deep and contribute to the build up

I agree but he's not on the level of MvE, Rudoni, Wright in their positions If you find a player on that level at RW you do it. Whereas if you do it at ST you're blocking EMC as Wright moves to LW so its more difficult
