    Without Rudoni and emc

Top 2 shouts are silly at this point as a lot could change. Sunderland we’re flying this time last year and finished way off autos We need to take it a game at a time & hopefully go into the international break with another 3 points

Video A first day back on the grass for Oliver Dovin. 💪

Nothing from that video suggested he’s ahead of schedule He was doing basic balance movements which is to be expected in the final phase 3 months of recovery

    It’s getting to the point…

Far too early & circumstances can change really quickly Last season we got 27 points in 10 games then followed it up with 13 points in the next 10

The ENGLISH Invincibles(when not cheated by the ref)

I’ll be extremely happy if we manage to keep losses to single figures… only Leeds & Burnley managed it last season

    Judging the Frank Lampard change

Robins is a great man manager who knows how to set up a team to play counter-attacking football. We never looked good in the Championship when he deviated from it & no surprise he’s successful with Stoke playing that way Every manager needs a good team around him. The biggest issue was that...

    Judging the Frank Lampard change

Yeah Sunderland last season ran into issues mid-season as they couldn't keep up their high pressing style that saw them chasing autos. Ended up in the deep-block that sneaked them through the playoffs (I'd argue 9 times out of 10 it wouldn't have)

Match Thread Millwall FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Wednesday 1st Oct

Won 3-0 there in 2023 when... checks notes... Joe Edwards was their manager. We hadn't won in 6 in the run up to the game. They were truly awful Luckily he's a lot better as an assistant

    25/26 January Transfer Window

By CM I don't mean a direct replacement for Sheaf but someone like Pereira would add a lot of value to our squad I think we are light there - Torp/Eccles/Rudoni all have/had injury issues & Andrews is yet to be trusted unless a game is settled Rudoni is a 90' player so I'm not sure we need...

Match Thread Millwall FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Wednesday 1st Oct

Being in the top six doesn't mean anything at the start of October. If we take a point away against a likely top 10 team but end up 7th, it is still a good night for us

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Defence looks sorted for the season barring an injury crisis over the next couple of months It's clear what we need in January - a CM to replace Sheaf & a winger to compete with Saka. That is the minimum if we're serious If we want to do really push the boat out (and go for it like Ipswich &...

Match Thread Millwall FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Wednesday 1st Oct

Definitely take a draw here. Have a feeling it's going to be our first defeat though. Would be surprised if it wasn't the same team (unknown injuries aside). Torp is going to be super important as he'll likely play the two roles again

    Transfer Rumour Carl Rushworth

Think he’ll come good like Dovin did last season but will take 10-20 games A few frustrating mistakes so far but there is no way I’d bring Wilson back in like some have suggested

Match Thread Leicester City - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 20th Sep

Have only watched them against Birmingham this season but I would definitely take a draw They didn't play great but were solid defensively and clinical on the break - need our defence to be on it to get anything

Video Doug King answers your questions about Coventry City's stadium purchase! 🏟️

Clearly wanted to reiterate the point about revenue - which is fair enough I personally prefer Dhillon's pre-matchbut will start going to the Fan Village now that we own it. Think it is important as fans we support the club where we can Think using the Exhibition Hall or a big gazebo (remember...

    6 team play off

    Other way around: 5th vs 8th -> winner plays 4th 6th vs 7th -> winner plays 3rd

    6 team play off

Is it working really well? No team in the league is sustainable. I’m not enthused by this idea but you can’t hate on the EFL for trying to get more money into the leagues while the PL gallops off into the distance

    6 team play off

A lot of National League fans complain about the system - teams in 7th/8th get a slight advantage in playing the week before and being more match fit whereas the team who finish higher don't play for two weeks

    Kai Andrews

I agree with you - but loans can also be detrimental. It is up to the coaching staff to decide which is the more beneficial approach for the coming season Chris Rigg is an example of keeping a prospect - played ~800 minutes for Sunderland in 23/24 rather than going out on loan & then played...

    Kai Andrews

Man City do not loan out players who they genuinely think can make it into the first team (not just Foden - Palmer, Lewis, Bobb) seeing it as more beneficial to learn from the first team & Peps notoriously difficult system They do loan any player below that bracket as they are basically priming...

Does anyone else feel that we’ve been sold short ?

"We did OK" (in the transfer window) "We're full of quality" "Squad is a little bit thin" Good to hear he is aligned with what most (sane) fans think. It is clear he wanted more as well and this isn't a case of us being happy with what we have I expect us to push again for 2/3 in January
