EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

It's in our interests to be, but clearly Dave Boddy has employed a different tactic to DM. That's certainly not a bad thing by any means.

Tranmere may not be a vote - depending on what the decision is regarding relegation. Heavy emphasis on the 'may' though.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

If we're not promoted assuming the season does resume then if anything that proves DM right. We shouldn't be looking at the PPG decision as a free pass as we've rightly earned to be where we are in the league but if the season resumes and we slip up then it's clearly not meant to be. The issue...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Exactly as I predicted. DM and BF's have expressed their grievances with Rotherham achieving promotion under PPG and I'm sure this has now caused other clubs to also disagree with this potential outcome.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

True there wouldn't be much logic in refusing for the contract terms to be changed - which they would have be as under the current terms the EFL are only entitled to stream scheduled midweek matches and rearranged games. Sky aren't exactly likely to get the amount of watchers for a L1 game...

What about the contract that's in place? Does that suspension on the restriction override it's terms then? EFL bid to rewrite deal with Sky Sports in order to broadcast all league matches live on iFollow | Daily Mail Online

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Genuinely the only message I've taken from his interviews and press coverage is me, me, me, me, me, me. No solutions offered or realistic proposals issued for clubs that cannot afford to play on.

Exactly he was. Now he's doing the polar opposite of trying to make things work by stalling negotiations to try and force the EFL's hand so he gets his way.

If you mean the one at the start of the mess then I've watched it. He makes some good points - not all of which I necessarily agreed with but they were sound points all the same. But like I said, who's at fault here. Rick Parry has been in contact regularly with Sky due to the ongoing battle...

The actual objective isn't feasible without funding and currently, there isn't any funding available.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

What's perhaps more comical is that Lincoln are currently in relegation form as since January they've registered one just the one win. Why on earth would they want to continue.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Is there definitive proof that the EFL have done nothing to try? You keep on saying that they've done nothing which albeit wouldn't shock me, but surely they've at least asked the question. Or is it more likely that the TV companies are being difficult? There already is a pay to watch service...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Exactly. It's terrible that it's come to this but the state of football finances have always being shockingly fragile. We also live in a reactive society and as a result it has to take something bad to happen before preventative action is then enforced to ensure that bad thing doesn't ever...

To be fair he has a history of this. He does it more or less during every transfer window.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Yeah whilst it's pretty clear I'm not his biggest fan, I'll accept that it's unfortunate that the club could potentially lose out on a promotion when they've played pretty well for the majority of the season. But let's be clear, his tactics are causing the whole decision making process to...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

The state of lower league finances has always been dire. If it's taken a global pandemic for that to be revealed to you then you've clearly got a lot of catching up to do. No one has said the problem is going away, but playing the remaining games isn't exactly the solution to remedying the...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

That's all well and good what about the teams who can't afford to play? Don't be as naive to assume he wants football to be played to protect the integrity of the game. He's bitter because the most popular decision doesn't work in his favour so he's going on the aggressive to ensure he gets...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

They already made a typo in the headline so hopefully that sets the theme for the rest of the article. Tbh I do hold a certain scepticism about the 'swing voters'. Realistically this is one of the biggest decisions in L1 history so it's not exactly a time for owners to take the view of 'fuck...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

I'd certainly fancy us to go if the season was resumed but a week ago no one wanted it to play on and now suddenly they do. It's quite clear that the unpredictability and prolonged uncertainty, combined with the endless rants from the Lord Prick of Peterborough isn't helping anyone so whatever...
