This thread does remind me of two years ago when I seem to recall posts saying that King was playing too much hardball with Gyokeres and that he'd kill the transfer to Sporting and Vic would walk away for nothing in 12 months.
Think it's the other way round.
If I've got it right, we offered to buy him for £5.5m, but they said they didn't want to sell, but a year's loan is being agreed instead.
He missed that one in the last minute away to Barnsley at the start of the post Covid season.
Was never convinced by his penalties after that, but you can't argue with his record at Sporting.
