Is that like a no repeat guarantee? It's a no country music afternoon? Sensible policies for a happier Britain.

    Tyler Walker deal done???

Given how Chaplin was 'bigged up' last season only to disappoint I'm determined not to get over-excited about Walker possibly coming in. From all the comments I've read he sounds almost exactly the same as we heard about Chaplin. My big hope is that at least he scored a fair few goals last...

    Tyler Walker deal done???

Or overeager to impress and make an impact because the manager gives him five minutes while the other strikers get game after game without scoring many. If we're talking training and discipline, what about Baka and his seeming inability to understand offside?

    Tyler Walker deal done???

Really? In the few sub appearances he made last season he did more closing down and had more efforts that the player he replaced despite only getting 10 mins at a time. And although it's not the same level at youth level he had much better movement than anyone else - arced runs and finding the...

Looks like he might be testing out his preferred first XI taking into account injuries. Interesting Shipley starts and Bayliss on the bench.

    Tyler Walker deal done???

Actually Ponticelli didn't get a pro deal until the start of the 2017/18 season. MR was already in charge at that point. There isn't enough evidence to say whether Ponticelli is good enough at this level. But there isn't enough to say he isn't either. We've had decent strikers in the past...

Go back to your constituencies and prepare for Goverment!

Part of me does think it's a shame that the govt can't use the 'market' as a way of showing the system doesn't work - rather than bailing out the loss making ones just let them not run at all. Let's see how those backing privatisation react when those routes they use are no longer running...

    England cricket 2019

Instead of Archer. It's his home ground, he can be more reliable (Archer is very quick but can be erratic (bowling a wide first ball (well, any ball) of a super over is criminal)), and I feel that Woakes is a bit more capable with the bat which giving the batting issues may be just as important...

    England cricket 2019

So? It's one match. There were plenty of times when people were calling on Cook to be dropped because he'd got a few low scores. Root is our best overall batsmen and certainly at test cricket. I don't think there is any nation that wouldn't think Root could improve their batting line-up. He can...

I agree, but I don't think the issue should be running them profitably, but at break-even. They're infrastructure that should be there as an enabler for other parts of the economy. Running trains on time and less cancelled services are more important than profit. Any 'profit' should be...

    God Help Us

I think this could be a strategy that could be used by the opposition and/or media to make him more accountable. The Boris persona is something he appears to be using almost as a split personality - doing shitty things in his bid for power but can disassociate himself from him cos it's not 'him'...

Of course not. But the issue of anti-Islamic sentiment in the Tories is not given anywhere near the coverage of anti-Semitism in Labour despite both being massive problems. It gives an impression that being anti-Islamic is somehow more acceptable than anti-Semitism.

    England cricket 2019

Went to the first two days and totally missed today as had an appointment. Gripping to watch for most of the time but it wasn't test cricket. If we play two or three times better than that against the Aussies they'll still murder us. First day it seemed like Eng were treating it as a warm up...

Councillor wants a NIA-like facility for the City

We don't need an NIA style facility here. What is most annoying is that the WAC is in such an out of centre location, as is the Ricoh.

    God Help Us

This very true. It's also part of the problem as the IHRA can be interpreted as any criticism of Israel, Israeli policy or Netanyahu is anti-semitism. Unfortunately this takes away from genuine anti-semitism. For example the irony the other day that Israel had knocked down an illegal settlement...

Tim Brooke-Taylor and Graeme Garden are the mannequins for the new home and away kits. Bill Oddie was possibly seen lurking in the grass with his bins looking for tits and boobys, but that's just a rumour

    Stevenage fined for sexist chanting

But then where is the incentive for the clubs to really crack down on it? Or proper fans to report such behaviour? Maybe you could link the fines to convictions, like a suspended sentence, so if perpetrators were identified and punished the clubs wouldn't have to pay so much?
