    Exercise Or No Exercise ?

Once you stop it gets so much harder to start again because everything loses condition and starts ceasing up, so you have to start small which is frustrating when you know you used to be able to do so much more.

    Exercise Or No Exercise ?

You're almost certainly right. I still have the weights but only use them occassionally for arms etc, and I now do light weights but for a bit longer til the muscle feels tired so I'm getting the form a bit better.

    Exercise Or No Exercise ?

Yeah, for every healthy old person that's been lived an unhealthy lifestyle there are tens of thousands in very poor health and hundreds of thousands that died a lot younger. Walking is my main exercise now - I tend to put the match on the radio and just walk around listening to it so I'm not...

    Exercise Or No Exercise ?

Btw the like isn't because you've got the shoulder injuries! It's interesting to know the effect the job has on you. Like did you know soldiers sometimes find they develop a 'breast' because they're hitting it so often on parade with their gun and it develops extra fatty tissue to cushion the blow?

You'd have to ask one. I'm not one. I just pop up the Higgs every now and then to watch the academy or U23 sides

Chris Kamara not realising a player had been sent off......

    Female football commentators.

Commentators (esp on radio or from radio backgrounds) are told to keep talking hence all the stats and guff about kits, the ground, fans etc. Almost doesn't matter what you say, just say something. I find in that respect the women are as good as the men, it was just odd to begin with because you...

    Exercise Or No Exercise ?

I've always wondered about those people that used to carry those heavy wooden ladders around and whether they had back/shoulders problems later on. Same with the bin men that use to carry them from the garden to the lorry. Are you like a sailor with their sea legs who feel weird on dry land? Do...

    Exercise Or No Exercise ?

I had a weights bench and even though I was pushing myself I didn't think I was overdoing it but I've got back and shoulder problems now as well as hip/knee/ankle problems. Think my big error was not warming up sufficiently beforehand.

I'm not related to him. I'm not entirely convinced he will make it because as I say he's not a tall striker or a quick one. His sprints do need improving from what I've seen but there are other strikers who aren't the quickest but positionally just always seem to be in the right place in the box...

Hepburn-Murphy had played for them - he played the second half when Ponti got subbed. He got sent-off. I agree that I don't think Ponti will get enough game time, but I'm surprised they wanted him and even more so that MR decided to let him go there if the intention was to get him as much...

The Harry Kane thing was about how he can be slow to get going at the start of a season. The point was if you judged Harry Kane most season after the first half dozen games you'd have dropped him because he hadn't scored and missed some gilt edged chances. One he's up to speed though..... The...

Not completely - he spent one season as an academy scholar rather than two after joining from Strachan. Plus Wilson never showed anywhere near as much promise in the academy as his career has gone on to prove. Admittedly he was used as both a striker and right sided forward during his stint...

    Exercise Or No Exercise ?

If you think of that ladder as a step machine imagine how much time you'd have to spend on it to get the equivalent. Not to mention the walking and carrying of the ladder. I used to go up and down the stairs as exercise and it gets the heart pumping and the thighs toned really well. Really...

Like Godden you mean?......:emoji_thinking: what about Baka? More experienced, been here over a year and still doesn't look like he's ever met his teammates most of the time.

Ponticelli was given a pro contract at the end of the 2016/17. Mark Robins took over towards the end of that season. So who are the 'quite a few managers' who've judged him not up to standard? MR and at a push the current Tranmere manager where he's been for a month or so. Can't count last...

I thought up one for Godden to the tune of Joan Osbourne - what if God was one of us? #Matty Godden's one of us# #He scores goals without a fuss# #You can't even park the bus# #When Matty Godden's in the zone# #Your defence will only moan# #As Matty Godden slots it home#

I don't think we get the international breaks off. Depends on if we're due to play at St Andrews that week I guess.

    Positives

Less criminal than scoring three at home, controlling much of the game, having twice as many chances and not winning.... Or if you're 3-1 up against 9 men.

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Walsall Match Thread - Tuesday 3rd Sep

I think we'll make a fair few changes. McFadz to come in as the experienced head and give Kelly the night off. I'd also be tempted to try something a bit different with O'Hare. Hiwula and Jobello have been very quiet in recent games so I wonder if O'Hare might be able able to play one of those...
