In a two-up-top formation maybe not. McNulty thrived with Biamou and I think Godden may be another. Let a strike partner do the donkey work, let him concentrate on scoring, Hiwula and Godden have played together most games this season and despite the chances haven't scored as many as they...

I bet a lot of people are a little horse this evening from shouting at the ref for those incidents.

    Matt 'offside' Godden

Did you see the chances they had and missed? Did you see how much possession we had? Did you see how untroubled our defence was for 95% of that game? We lost today because the strikers didn't score the chances they were presented with. It must be great being a striker. You get excused most of...

    Matt 'offside' Godden

While I agree that if I had to pick one of Max or Godden to have that chance I'd pick Godden, but I don't think you could assume Max would miss. He has to score sometimes and those chances were decent at pro level. Plus on the headed chances he's a bit taller so would have likely got on the end...

No they don't. They play as inside forwards. A winger wouldn't be getting the chances Hiwula has if he was a winger because he'd be too wide. Jobello played more like a traditional winger as that is his nature, but I think in this formation he should have been tucked in a bit more. Think of it...

You say Godden tries but how hard is it to not be offside? Should have still had a couple today with glaring misses.

If this is the only game we play in it brown would've been a far more apt colour. Black and shite check.

    Shipley delivery

Yep, I'd play Shipley ahead of Walsh if you're bringing Kelly back in. Bit more attacking and has played some brilliant through balls in last few games that had the striker scored we'd be hailing as amazing assists.

I agree but we've got to be careful cos it's so easy to say that and before you know it you've gone a dozen games without winning and approaching the busy Xmas schedule in really really poor form.

I think he'd definitely benefit from a strike partner. We need a striker concentrating on scoring goals. Being captain didn't help him either.

What - loads of chances but the strikers can't finish?

I really hope not. Usually follows after we reject an approach for the manager, plus we're getting into the colder months and we always seem to be shit in the cold. Today down to poor finishing. If I was MR I'd have the strikers after training and they can't leave until they've scored 20 in a row.
