It's both butt-clenchingly bad yet hilarious.

I got it wrong - it wasn't Newsnight. It was Alex Jones on Sunday Politics. But yeah at the moment we're resisting the total lunatics of the far right from the US, but as we've seen with the tactics Alexander used in his leadership bid they are creeping in.

We've been aping US culture for quite some time now but I guess as they have so many TV shows etc shown on British TV it almost feels like 'our' culture at times especially to the young as shows are released here at pretty much the same time as the US. Another thing I've just remembered about...

It does depend on the country. In the US Corbyn would be consider an uber-Communist. Over there the likes of Obama, Hilary etc are considered left wing. Over here they'd be slightly to the right. Even Bernie Sanders would be considered a centrist here. I think over here we've the 'centre' shift...

Player of the season so far

Apart from the fact we're only into October so meaningless, but Mason and Kelly have to be in the reckoning surely?

Are you talking about the same HIGNFY that pretty much launched the media profile and front bench careers of Boris Johnson and Jacob Rees-Mogg? A show which Jeremy Clarkson has appeared on and presented numerous times. Julia Hartley Brewer I remember has made a number of appearances, as has...

Depends on if you're talking imports or exports. It does of course work both ways. EU companies may well be pulling manufacturing out of Japan as well because their plants are no longer needed now there are no tariffs. Just as we've heard a great deal about companies in the UK planning to...

Nope. Never said that. Perhaps your 'photographic memory' has run out of disk space or got corrupted? What I have said is when Kelly is fit Walsh would be the person I'd drop as he's the most similar in style to him in the team right now.

Did I say that? I said sometimes people who are naturally good at something aren't necessarily capable of telling others how to do the same. You can teach the basics of what to do but if there is something you do subconsciously that makes you better than everyone else at something you can't...

Greta Thunberg / Climate Change Summit

Although I get the causing disruption it seems an odd target. All those people that couldn't get the tube would have ended up having to get even more polluting transport like buses or taxi's, congesting the roads and resulting in even more CO2 in the atmosphere. It'd be like a vegan burning a...

So I guess that means another referendum could be made legally binding then.

    U23 v Wigan

No, that's Joe Newton. We had a pretty inexperienced team out there against Bright and co. and won 3-0.

Why? It's not in Juncker's say so - it's down to the European Parliament and just a month ago they voted 544-126 to offer one if requested (which by law Alexander has to do if the deal doesn't go through Saturday). Juncker can advise the parliament to reject an extension and force through no...

Not sure if that wasn't advisory as well. Didn't find out because FPTP won.

Just a month ago they voted (in a non-binding resolution just like Brexit) 544-126 in favour of offering an extension if requested. Obviously at that time no deal had been agreed so they may have a change of heart, but if the deal doesn't get through parliament who knows.....

What the hell? I really don't know what to say to that. A man who has wanted to leave the EU since we joined is now complaining because the EU have told us to leave? But seems keen on an Act that could keep us in the EU for even longer?

It really isn't. Everything in that post is accurate. You stated results declined sharply after Cole's arrival. You then immediately changed it to over the course of his time here. Which part of that is drivel, inaccurate and embarrassing? What is embarrassing is how time and time again on...

I don't think it did. Japan have got a trade deal with the EU and Japanese companies are closing EU plants down. If we're leaving a trade deal with the EU then plants of EU companies could open up Opposite side of the same coin IMO. But that is of course dependent on if we leave with a deal...
