No more games at the Ricoh

You were very vocal in your calls to lock the doors earlier this evening. Good outcome for you?

You keep saying that like it's a good deal. For a 3rd division club, it is still crippling.

That's the sort of creative accounting SISU would be proud of.

The club have been paying £10,000 a match to cover that, and on top of that ACL make from car parking and other F&B revenues.

People seem to conveniently forget that. Hate the idea of my club leaving Coventry, but they were told to get out, people said lock the doors (many people were saying that tonight), and now that they have taken that advice people are crying about it.

I think most regular fans will follow the team wherever they go this season. Next season is a different matter entirely and ST sales would go through the floor. Playing away for Coventry just isn't sustainable, and I believe that if we start next season at the Bescott/Nene Park or wherever, a...

    The Butts anyone ?

Planning consent (you need that for temporary structures also), segregation issues, safety certificate. Non-starter.

Something confuses me. ACL threaten admin and people are happy. SISU do it and it is an outrage. In response people say lock the doors! SISU then announce they are leaving anyway and then that is a disgrace. I'm not sure some people really know what they want.

Not you as well? I draw the line at two. That's my limit. I now have train fairs to Walsall to worry about.

I wouldn't have thought so. I am sure the priority of the FA/FL will be to keep the club in existence so sanctioning a temporary change in venue would be a formality you would think?

How many people would go to court for the sake of £36 though? I'll give you the 36 quid to save you the hassle and stress :p

Why would they have to refund season tickets? They would be valid I'd imagine. Guess they'd chuck in free transport as a token gesture. More posturing I suspect though. I'm sure this won't happen.

I'm not sure I can make sense of any of that.

    It won't work

Where would they play? The 2950 capacity Butts Park? Good luck in the season ticket lottery, because there is not guarantee you'd even get one; and that's assuming a new club was formed in time for next season. You might still be buying laminate floor in B&Q. I'd rather keep the club we have...

    CCFC put itself into administration

But it wouldn't, because we could not fulfill our fixtures for the rest of the season and that means immediate expulsion from the league. Unless you meant the fourth tier of the non-league pyramid? I understand that people have had enough of SISU, but the 'lock the gates' argument seems a...

    It won't work

I am seriously worried about the number of people saying this. It would be the end of the club. Call me old-fashioned, but I'd rather CCFC stuck around, I have become rather fond of them over the last 35 years and the thought I spending my Saturday afternoons in Homebase doesn't exactly fill...

    CCFC put itself into administration

Kicked out for good? That would be the end of CCFC. We wouldn't be able to fulfill our fixtures and would be kicked out of the league. Great outcome that! A tenant that is irreplaceable (unless you think Cov Sphinx can move in and pick up the rent) and which generates income for the landlord...

    Highfield road to wembley way

That JS extra time team talk is the stuff of legend. Had to fight the urge to get up and start running after hearing that. Might watch it again to take my mid off this shit-storm.

    CCFC put itself into administration

In which case ACLs actions have backfired big time because they lose their anchor tenant and the income that goes with it. The club equally could not survive on gates of 5K at Nene Park, so who the fuck knows. Why didn't they all just get back around the table? This is all speculation because...
