When I was doing it i though there was something I'd forgotten.... I think I'd convinced myself that he'd have to miss the cup game I just kind of assumed he'd served he ban So yeah, Drysdale in and I guess Watson on the bench assuming Williams will still be missing.

Both good points. Trump wants us out so he can get all the stuff he wants on the table and there may well be funding issues. As for the peerage it's been said he turned it down BUT I can see that being a long term ruse because it looks dodgy as hell before an election. So I wouldn't be...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Although you do have a point, you also have to take into account that because these people are able to retain a larger amount of their money than the average man and thus it obtains interest which will cover the extra luxury element of the articles in question. Now you may well say that...

___________Marosi _____Rose__Fadz__Hyam Dabo__________________McCallum _____Zain___Kelly___Shipley _______Baka____O'Hare Subs: Wilson, Drysdale, Mason, Walsh, Kast, Bremang, Hiwula/Bapaga Assuming Hiwula not fit to play/start. O'Hare is a bit of a left field option. I'd have him possibly...

I think a time limit of say a minute needs to be introduced - if you can't decide in that time if a decision is correct or not then it isn't a clear and obvious error. And I agree about the 'umpire's call' as well - with the uncertainty over camera angles, exactly when the ball was struck etc...

I wouldn't guarantee it. But he must be getting something from it - why the sudden turn around to get a deal he apparently doesn't want? I'm sure there's more to this than we're hearing - he can't have just given up now after all those years.

Surely VAR refs would still have to be refs inasmuch as knowing the rules. IMO the only thing the VAR ref should be able to do is inform the ref he may want to see it again on the monitor, so it is up to the ref to decide to overturn his own decision. VAR should NOT be allowed to overrule the...

I get your points, but I disagree that someone being pushed on the halfway line is a penalty nor do I think hearing the discussion will help people see anything ;)

    Armistice Day

France lost almost an entire generation in WWI. Commonly believed the reason they surrendered in WWII was because they had so few people to fight. Our losses were huge. For the French they were almost catastrophic. Which considering the entire thing was effectively a family argument between the...

So you're point is that in general the German economy is doing well under a right wing govt but they have larger poverty because food bank usage than here amongst other things. Surely this shows how a Conservative model would likely look to work in this country, but we'd be on our own. According...

Why would that be the only way they could administer it? They could choose to administer it other ways if they wanted to. They didn't want to because it wouldn't fit into their ideology of what a family should be. I agree those over 50k shouldn't be getting handouts but two parents earning a...

It's because we all know that the only way children should be brought up is by a daddy and mummy at home. They never look at the many different circumstances and things that could happen that stop that being the case and just say single parents are assumed to be irresponsible even though many of...

There was a time when we were setting every sole trader up as a ltd company because it was much more tax efficient, and also advising people to get 'employees' to set themselves up as companies and be paid like that. Those differences have largely been closed either via tax rates or legislation...

We've supposedly been trying to do that for years. But somehow those big businesses seem to convince the Treasury these don't apply to them. Usually just after they've taken ministers on very expensive lunches..... Remember the 'Google' tax? Which after a few months the Treasury decided Google...

Match Thread Colchester United vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 9th Nov

One thing from Shipley's goal, and from some of Max's in the last few games, is the willingness to hit the shot early. They don't take that extra touch Hiwula and Baka do - they just instinctively hit it.

    SBT’s general election poll

I don't think Labour should be defending it. She was 22 at the time so hardly a child and at university. IMO she should be deselected but they won't change the candidate now, especially in such a safe seat. But Alexander was 38 years old in 2002 and it's not like he hasn't expressed similar...

    SBT’s general election poll

The issue isn't with those people. It is with those who HAVEN'T grafted their way to that lifestyle or EXPLOITED their way to that lifestyle. Which is most of the very very rich. It's more exasperation that people with a small business working every hour they can for a slightly better house or...

    Times article on Keith Houchen

Although I agree to a point that stories like this are very, very unlikely to happen (but not impossible) I find it amazing that you of all people are having a go at the mantra of 'greed is good'.
