The rift is deepening I think. Before the game today I overheard a couple of people (two women) who were abused in the pub at PV last week because they mentioned they were season ticket holders. That ain't right. I'm always up for a drink, but if our beer-sozzled debate from the other night...

Nearly 1500 there yesterday I see, which is good. Good for them. I've been critical of the way that club has been run over the years, but they seem to be turning things around. If they can ever make it back to the top flight, then they will have to redevelop BP, and that will be good for the...

I will do that at some point for sure. Won't give up on City though, will just do all the away games.

Even if it was just handbags today, it doesn't matter, it was symbolic. The mere fact that there was a confrontation and one set of supporters were being openly abused by another underlines just how serious this has become. It is a travesty.

Fair question. I've never been fair weather, anyone who knows me would vouch for that. Just felt so deflated today, even before the game kicked off. What is the point? Sitting there every other week at what feels like a glorified pre-season game, and getting abused for it to. Having to...

To be fair, people on the hill have behaved impeccably until this point. They have acted with dignity, and while I don't necessarily agree with their position, they make their point in the right way. From what I saw on the way out, the group had been hijacked by some right dickheads.

Not surprised. A group of people yelling 'scabs' as people left the ground. Could sense it might happen. I cannot be arsed anymore with all this shit.

Perhaps, but then I have tried to refrain from drawing too many conclusions from the JS interview; and it never ceases to amaze me how much reading between the lines has gone on during the last few days. Some are convinced they know the motivations and the meaning behind JS's answers, and still...

    A spade's a spade

People will pick out the bits that best suit their viewpoint. It's a bit like like dullards who think the moon landings were faked. They cherry pick little inconsistencies and then put them all together thinking it makes a coherent argument. It doesn't.

    New ground

It's at this point people stick their fingers in their ears and shout LALALALALALA at the top of their voice. That, and call you names and pretend they are all experts on this country's planning laws.

I have just sent this to Joy Seppala

You have all lost your minds. This thread is a new low. For fans of other clubs reading this, please do not take this as a fair representation of our fanbase. The paranoid delusions are not universal.

That's no way to treat those people driving all that way to stand on the hill.

Ah, so you are. Cool. Seems like a lot of effort to go to though to make that point, given that my response was tongue-in-cheek. FWIW, I have now read the OP in full and have decided not to withdraw the like. It was definitely warranted.

You're probably right, it wouldn't be a disaster, but after last week and with some tricky games coming up (particularly away) we would definitely lose some confidence and momentum. Still, I'm cautiously optimistic about today.

Aye, looking forward to the game finally after last week's disappointment. The feeling at the last two homes games is that we are due to give somebody a spanking soon. Don't think it will be today, but who knows. A win is important though, anything less and our season starts to derail.

I'm quite happy to take credit for all of it.

Exactly. There wasn't even the merest hint that she is prepared to concede anything, if anything it was an attempt to completely close the door on the possibility of a new rent deal, which makes all those claims that it was evidence that NOPM is working all the more strange.

    New Ground Nonsense

There is no precedent for a police force refusing to police a football game that I recall (at least not outside the ground, but clubs are not obliged to have police inside the ground anyway, and if they do they pay for it). It just wouldn't happen.
