If you read Adi's interview with the Telegraph, he said categorically that he doesn't want to be a manager. He prefers improving players. I guess he didn't want to go to Wolves and has said he loves Middlesborough and the fans. Possible their owner recognised his effect on the players and asked...

We have let 15 goals in the league. Third best defence for a team that essentially attacks most of the game. We will always potentially get caught on the break. Take the three Wrexham goals out and we have the best defence. Those three goals came when JDS was out, and if memory serves me...

Explained before, Charlton had a lot of key injuries against Southampton, especially at the back, and a Southampton loan player who was ineligible. Lets hope they are not fit for us.

Agreed but, Bristol were doing really well then got a lot of crucial injuries. When all their players are fit, I expect them to be thereabouts. Regarding the Boro match, I expect a repeat of Stoke in terms of approach. They have some very good players, but so do we. They won their last home...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Well I didn't start it. If posters make a claim that is disputable, then people will go for it. It is only opinions, often backed by facts, but it does not mean anyone is right. We all come on here for our two penny worth. Probably in my case, a little more than that. Unlike some people on here...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Everything I have read on here seems to have the assumption we have a magic money tree. The reason Hamer, O'Hare and McCallum are at a parachute club is because we could not afford their wage demands and signing on fees. Two were free transfers. Perhaps we do have £10 million to spend according...

Don't think we can afford his transfer fee or wages. Need to find another MVE or Tatsu for the prices we paid. Inflation means £3 to £4 million for a player from abroad with that potential. If we choose correctly, would make money even if they are not quite PL class.

Sheff U player of the year in the PL. Voted best player in the Championship last season. Destroyed us in both games last season. This year has been disrupted by bad management and injury.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Ipswich went down the road of buying all the best Championship players. Clearly, not a template to follow. They went for quantity over quality. That said, a PL side better than Sheff U should have bought Vic and Gus.

Absolutely agree, with the proviso that we are currently in the second tier and The PL has got exponentially better since 1980. His passing is exceptional, but in the PL passing between the lines gets way harder.

Gillespie brilliant. Jess described as the best player, at that time with the ball, but overall not great. Stein loved for his effort, heading ability and toughness, but again, more loved than was justified. Described by one journalist as a player who could not trap a bag of cement. Kevin...

    For any remaining non-believers

Both of those two had great youth careers and were seen as good signings at the time. Robins said Hillsner had brilliant skill and ability, but unfortunately, his undetected respiratory problems ruined his career. He played for Germany at U16 to U19 level. Kastaneer had a good pedigree and our...
