They're terrified of being seen as ordering people what to do as it'll be considered unpopular. We all know it needs that certainty, even they do I reckon, but worry the public will turn on them if they order it, effectively saying 'you can't be trusted to be sensible' even if it's the truth.

I think the queen has kept the monarchy going by being totally hands off. The issue will be once Charles takes over (and arguably William after). Both, Charles esp, seem quite opinionated and with him having being heir for 50 years and not exactly young Chalres will be keen to leave a legacy and...

OK. Certain I saw at the time he cost £1m because I thought he'd be an interesting addition and the price showed we didn't have a chance of signing him at the time. Mind playing tricks on me.

If they were 'shipping people in' then it suggests we had the spare capacity even then. We definitely had a lower infection rate per head than much of the surrounding region, both WM and Warks.

    Left back

Think it may have been as a short of extended trial. If we were looking to use him long term you'd have thought MR would've preferred him to McCallum. Although I accept not disrupting a team in such good form would be a good reason you might have thought he'd have given him a bit more time off...

He joined Dundee Utd for £1m. Don't think we had that kind of money available at the time. Guy can clearly get goals (albeit at a level that's hardly first rate) but I always feel you should have that option of someone who just seems to score for fun. No idea what his all round game is like but...

Boys are back in town !

I had the impression he was a striker who could drift out wide in order to cut in on his favoured foot to shoot. Never thought of him s a winger in the true sense of it.

I've always considered Orwell as someone who fundamentally agrees with socialism but is angered by those who use it as an excuse to remove the elite to become the elite. It's not the more even society he rails against in his work, it's the individuals who manipulate it for their own purposes...

Although I don't see policy getting him elected I agree that using the pandemic as a means to at least outline a new way of moving forward would be a positive thing. Undoubtedly you'd get the "we're in a crisis - now isn't the time to be talking about these things. Priorities!" from certain...

Cleared, but still fined? Basically says to them 'do what you want'. They're going to spend a fortune now feeling quite relaxed that nothing significant will happen to them.

To be honest though with Ferrari's resources it shouldn't have been that difficult for a very good driver to make them competitive. Not like he joined Lola and made them champs - he joined the biggest, most well-known motor racing team on the planet. And with some of those he did do some pretty...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Capitalism is if you can't survive by your own means you die. Any help from the state is unwelcome and unneeded and is just interfering with the market. It's far closer to socialism than capitalism that's for sure. Not arguing about the affordability I flagged up I see? Plus the support for...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

You mean the same stuff you said was socialist nonsense, unaffordable and would bankrupt the country eight months ago? So how's it going to be paid for? Looks like that magic money tree is growing well. Must be all that bullshit that's been fed to everyone.

    Championship

But the question has to be how can a club 4 weeks after a takeover (and apparently linked to the former owner) end up in admin? The due diligence by the club and/or the EFL ownership test should've flagged that up.

Why does it take so long

It's a cost so has no bearing on FFP. It is going to be a big problem long term but it's owners profiteering from the club by getting rent and land value transferred to their control. Plus if the club don't have he funds they then lend the club the money (with interest) just to get it straight...

If in doubt, assume they're called Jordan. Usually can't go wrong. Apart from on this occasion. When there were two of them with a name starting with J and neither are Jordan.

I wouldn't either. We had Jacob Murphy. I knew he had a twin brother called Josh. Didn't realise there were triplets!
