The whole system needs a shake-up. If we had some sort of proportional replacement system I would vote Green. Wasted vote on Thursday though.

Nope. I think I probably would have chased him, but the minute I saw him armed with large knives I think I would back off. 5 times? The bloke put his life on the line and we should be eternally grateful.

All politicians should be scrutinised and need to be. I wish there was more scrutiny instead of all the bunkum we are constantly dished up.

Yep, on first viewing, that does seem to be fair and balanced reporting.

Revisited this, ferret, because you are a poster I always have a lot of respect for, bit the simple fact seems to be that this boy was taken in with suspected pneumonia, so to say 'he was in with flu and wasn't given a bed because, well he had flu', cheapens the incident. Do you know for...

Where did that story come from? Not heard that.

    General Election 2019 thread

Of course. With a 4 year old you take no chances. They believed it might be pneumonia and that is most definitely life threatening. I guess it depends on which way you look at it. Did the mum decide to make a bed for her son on the floor, as she felt that was the best thing to do, and then...

Yes, exactly, so to dismiss it as flu is a bit disingenuous. They didn't know it was just flu at the time.

Was it flu? Just asking, because on 5Live just now they said pneumonia rather than flu. Was it suspected pneumonia at first?

    Poll the general election

Yes, I have been impressed by the very same two. Straight talking, to the point, no bullshit.

Totally and utterly untrue. I expect fudge and deflection from politicians in such circumstances and that is what usually happens. Here, we have apologies. If there is nothing to apologise for, why apologise. The government hasn't apologised for other stuff when it has been pointed out to them.

So, why is Robert Buckland, Conservative MP, on the TV now saying it is a concerning incident and why is he saying Boris Johnson has apologised and so too, Matt Hancock. A lot of a concern and apology for a non-story isn't it?

    General Election 2019 thread

Hmmm...easy to say though, ferret. Have you ever had a 4 year old? I am sure the family didn't think it was flu when they took him in and the hospital wouldn't have known it was flu at first either. Yup, it was proved to be flu in the end and not critical, but that sort of deflects from point...

The good news though is, with the control of immigration we will be treated on hospital beds in future by physicists, prima ballerinas and kings and queens.
