What would our starting 11 be next season?

I think giles will quckly come under scrutiny if his defending doesn't improve from what we've seen thus far

    Council meeting - 18/8

But that could be taken as a heads-up warning from their own experiences of dealing with them. Like a woman telling another woman a guy in the office is a bit lechy.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I was OK with maths until A level when I could understand the equations but never quite how to apply them in the questions. I could never work out if I should integrate or work out the derivative. Didn't help that my best mate I sat next to was a maths genius who completed everything in 10...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I'm far more interested in the future, but I find looking to the past is a decent way of predicting the future in terms of general behaviour etc. I had that issue with chemistry more - memorising periodic table, atomic numbers, mass, electrons etc. Couldn't ever find a way to make it anything...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I was pretty good at history, but very rarely used exact dates in exams. As long as I knew the chronology of events that was enough for me and the important thing - it lets you see how things develop, possible causality etc so you focus on whats happening and why rather than when. A history...

Are we extending the "undisclosed" mantra for transfer fees to goalscorers?

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I expect a cold will be more noticeable to a child than Covid, although again the effect of having both together seems unclear at this moment, it's more that they could spread both more generally into wider society and thus into more vulnerable people resulting in the scenario of increasing...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

That is a fear but for once I'm trying to be optimistic. Biggest question is if that happens will there be the balls to go back into lockdown to contain it? I don't think there will be. We're already seeing things being opened up without other things closing which was supposedly the plan. So if...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

The encouraging thing is that although cases are high deaths aren't increasing. Hopefully this means either the disease is getting weaker or we've started to develop the antibodies to fight it.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I have been wondering if there will be a big push this year to enforce kids/people with colds etc to definitely stay away. Having that spreading affecting both the respiratory system and the immune system together could make Covid a bigger problem even for young, healthy people. Or even how...

He's a keeper. Jesus saves, but is often crucified for others mistakes.. He's also in charge of drinks bottles, as he's an expert at walking on water. Been looking for a club for a while now though - he's spent ages in the wilderness.

    On The Eve of Battle

Wholeheartedly agree with the OP's sentiments. But On The Eve of Battle has the ring of a medieval based porn film about it. A sort of Holly Does Hastings.

I agree. Nowhere in the campaign was it mentioned it'd be a long haul with pain at the beginning. It was improvement from the get go. £350m pw for the NHS from day one.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I think it's important for two main reasons. 1. it was the main thing that taught me to check sources and where info comes from. Don't just accept because something was written down it was accurate or even attempting to tell the truth. 2. With the right approach you can draw parallels to many...

    Where do we improve next?

Two of those aren't even right backs. One isn't even a defender, he's an attacking midfielder by nature. Rowe is just out of the academy. That's like saying we didn't need Sheaf because we've got Kelly, Hamer, Shipley, Allen, Hilssner, Eccles, Pask, Bartlett, Young and Lafferty

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

While I agree overall about education in more life skills I'm not in favour of it at the expense of other subjects. Some people might really like history but maths isn't for them. So they become disillusioned with education because they're nothing that appeals to them. More variety to help kids...

I did too. Should be a new series readily any time as they finished filming about three hours before lockdown started.

    Right wing jokes

32 years since first series. Had a documentary on Dave about it and new RD has been on the TV in each of the last five decades. That made me feel bloody old!
