Need to step up second half. Should be beating these. Seems we still haven't solved the attacking problems. Play two up top, don't get the possession. play one and we get the possession but no-one on the end of them.

Godden out for another FOUR weeks

Isn't this exactly the same argument you disparaged with Ponticelli and mention Mick Harford's goal ratio to dismiss using it?

Happy with the team. Good to see Dabo on the bench but Jones must be injured/unwell if Dinanga on the bench ahead of him.

I love that you've respond to that accusation in an incredibly Grendelesque way.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The worrying thing is that it's got to that stage whereby he cannot back down as his ego and public image in Russia won't let him. You need to find a way of getting him to do it that makes him feel like he's won. Bit like Trump really. Trouble is I can't think of anyone at the moment...

Bristol City calling for salary cap

It's called a balanced argument. Teams shouldn't be able to use their power to load everything in their favour, but neither would it be fair for teams to be given absolute parity for being less successful. For example, in the NFL the worst team in the league gets first choice of the up and...

I get that. He's in charge and so his judgment is the only one that counts. If someone else were in charge they might have given him a chance. if that were the case would that manager be wrong to do so? The bit I don't really get is about when the opportunity comes. For me, there are so many...

Bristol City calling for salary cap

Who would you say could realistically challenge Man City and Liverpool? The likes of Arsenal and Tottenham are now more like an Atletico Madrid. Man U are drifting that way but the right manager with their income streams and name could turn them around quickly. Sides like leicester are...

Bristol City calling for salary cap

That's it though. Norwich go up with a reasonable expectation they would come back down again. Is that really something to look forward to? Having a great season then knowing you're going to get battered the next? Burnley have been PL for years and so used to that level and now paying higher...

Don't get relegated! Of course! Why does no-one think of that! Whether they like it or not three of them are coming down.

Bristol City calling for salary cap

I agree with all your points and think the players/agents are killing the golden goose, but that's what happens. Greed happens and they all bet the bubble doesn't burst while they're in it, or at least they get enough from it before they do. So it's all very well saying clubs should put in...

Bristol City calling for salary cap

Ending parachute payments could almost make getting relegated from the PL immediate financial problems. If your income could drastically reduce due to one bad season, you can't commit to offering players multi-year contracts on those type of wages because it would be far too dangerous...

O'Hare is a Burden on the Team

Good to see all those lower costs, less red-tape, extra trade and jobs from Brexit, and that £350m a week for the NHS too. And that wasn't overly optimistic outliers predicting that - that was the main crux of the entire Brexit argument. Seems like everyone can have a short memory...

Bristol City calling for salary cap

I agree that a flat salary cap for all isn't fair. If you earn more you should be able to spend more. just not so much that it jeopardises the future of the club. This is why I've little sympathy for those making the point. They tried to succeed by overpaying and failed, so now they can't do it...
