Have we been fielding an illegible team?

I really don't think we've fielded anyone illegibly. All players are registered with the FA and PFA so if they were to penalise us for 'illegible' players, they need to look at themselves in the mirror and their own procedures. We're fine from this point of view. Case closed, move on! WM

Half stakes for sale - £4m and £40m

To be fair Tony, it does say 'Telegraph sources' so it's not definitve proof but I guess the point I was making that for one half of the Ricoh, you pay £4m to a charity and for the other, 10 times that amount to the council. I'm not too shabby at maths but even if I wasn't, I'd still be able...

Half stakes for sale - £4m and £40m

Err...check my first post Tony. Albeit, it's in the Telegraph but it says that their share is up for grabs for £4m. WM

Half stakes for sale - £4m and £40m

And I do hope the charity come out of all of this, not out of pocket. WM

Half stakes for sale - £4m and £40m

So the Higgs would sell their half stake for £4m after putting in £6m and the council would sell their half for £40m after putting in £10m? And people say that CCFC/SISU are greedy robbing bar-stewards...

    Over 1000 fans at Portsmouth

Apologies, you're indeed correct. Error on my part, it was Wilson I was on about, not Willis.

    Over 1000 fans at Portsmouth

When the anti-SISU songs were going on, there was an older gent behind me shouting 'but we'll be more worse off...you're biting the hand that feeds you' etc. With polls on here, there seemed to be a larger % of people who can see the clubs position compared to the rates etc we're being charged...

Just decided to go to todays game....

...as it's up the road for me and now don't have any commitments today. Called the Pompey ticket office and the game is most definitely on. Taking a mate of mine who is a Brighton fan so it'll be an eye opener for him! Might see some of you later. WM

Did Southampton try the same trick?

As soon as I saw this, it reminded me of when I worked at SFC when this happened. We're defo gonna lose 10 points. The league will say that the two companies are something like inextricably linked so therefore a points deduction will apply.

    Questions for Peter Knatchbull Hugesson

Teams like Southampton had a Billionaire come in and take over and there was talk that it was to do with his company trying to win lucrative contracts within the Southampton area. Unless we have a billionare lined up, we're in a completely different situation.

I do get what you're saying and don't mean to belittle that comment but by what you're sayin, ACL won't negotiate further with our current owners yet might do with potential owners who currently sit in the figment of many peoples imaginations. That'll save the club.... WM

    pompey away

Just up the road so I might go. Money's tight though :( (maybe one of the players will get me two tickets like that Ipswich fella.....). As for going out in Pompey...if you're making a night off it, head to GunWharf and stay clear of the Guildhall area.... WM

    would you rather?

No 2 - That's a nice sentiment, but if you think that clubs can be self-sustaining by functionning merely on ticket/shirt sales, TV money and player sales then I'm afraid you're probably very wide of the mark. There's more costs than you our I are aware of and every club needs some owner input...

    would you rather?

And without changes in the outgoings of the club, the same issues will still be here for the new owners. The 'cancer' of this club as you put it has been keeping us afloat for the past 5 or 6 years. Regardless of how much some will hate to hear that, that's a fact. Another fact is that our...

Nice sentiment Jan but I would never want us to go down the road of Portsmouth. The irony is that I work in Portsmouth so have to go down the A27 road to Portsmouth in the morning! I digress.....they're a glorified example of our club however their stadium ownership is more clear cut. One owner...
