2 wins at Wembley and a league title too, the Glory Years. Thanks for the memories Joy, i'll never forget watching likes of Barrett, Maguire-Drew and Darius Henderson gracing the array of pitches we happened to grace over these golden years.
I must have missed something somewhere, i thought we were offered identical terms but declined to sign....which would make Liddle's take a little wrong (even if the subsequent offer did include a higher rent).
That article says a couple of times that Ashley is seeking to increase the rent, i didn't think that was the case from the various statements made to date?
I did think it unlikely as i was sure youd said this was your first book. It would have been an incredible coincidemce as i bought the book on the same day i handed your one to my uncle (who id bought it for) whilst meeting him at the regiment's museum.
I have it on good authority that Ashley will be buying the stadium and surrounding land, calling SISU's bluff on a new stadium and demolishing the CBS to build something more lucrative on the site. A gigantic mug factory is apparently the main focus of the redevelopment work.
Really? I'm probably going to massively jinx this now but it was one of the easiest trips I made last season, parked in some place over a river from the stadium and had no issues.
I think McNulty on the premise that promotion from L2 was hugely influenced by his signing and if we hadn't come straight back up i fear what might have happened.
Anything less that a win will be disappointing but we have been here many, many times before! I'm hoping for a comfotable 3-0 win but can easily see it being a 0-1 extravaganza of bullshit
King and maybe McSheffrey are the only two i can think of at Championship level you could argue might be better. I think it was ESB above saying he was laughed at during the loan spell but i must say i didn't see the potential at that point myself....thankfully i am nowhere near the scouting team!
Maybe that's a minimum and clubs can choose to allocate more if they want, we've taken huge crowds to MK before haven't we? 5600 does seem absolutely massive for Burnley wherever it was.
I wonder where Burnley, Blades and Chunderland took their big attendances? Not sure we've been anywhere it'd have been possible for an allocation that size yet have we?
Spot on. We have absolutely no control of any of the sale/takeover process for the stadium or the club and it's very dangerous to allow that to serious affect your mood. All we can do is wait and in the meantime, enjoy supporting a team that absolutely hit form last night (certainly first half)...
Yes, we absolutely looked on it for the first half particularly. Sheaf was back to his best, Panzo was fantastic and O'Hare looked back towards his best.
