This. Up top was our weakest area last night and I know we've got two newish lads up front and it was the first time they played together but I think Jackson will offer more 'tooth'. I agree with the formation...if it ain't broke, don't fix it. First job in football...don't concede goals. Job...

Yeah, agree with Haynes looking more competent that Clarke in that role but thought Clarke looked alright there last night. As for Pugh, to be fair, I'm going on past times. From what I can remember he's alright at bombing on and has obvious defensive qualities...two good traits for a WB. Yeah...

Useful squad player...has undoubted quality for this level...just hasn't shown it in a Sky Blue top yet. I can't wait to see what Jackson will bring to the team. Also, is Miller injured? He was another player I was looking forward to seeing.

Haynes and Clarke look two decent options so far...as well as Pugh.

Me too. I thought he and Tudgay were the 'weaker' links of an otherwise good performance. CT started off well but as you say, got progressively worse. Not sure what Tudgay offered....I think he's a good player but looking forward to seeing him fit into the team a little better.

He made a good tackle down by the corner flag and was starting to reel away when the Gills player pulled him back by his short. JC turned and pushed him then the Gills player grabbed him by the throat. Despite pushing him, I'm surprised he didn't blow when grabbed by the throat...I know I...

I thought he was ok...no better. In his defence, first game for us and looked a little rusty in terms of fitness but the record books will say - 1 game, 1 goal so fair play to the lad. Hopefully he and McQuoid/Jackson will strike up the big man/little man partnership that's worked well for us...

I was in 19 mate. Normally in the Telegraph end but couldn't get a ticket...thankfully, WiM had a spare. Great isn't it....you can get a ticket of what in essence are random strangers yet we can be so bloody friendly! I had to make sure he was telling the truth as it would've been a wasted round...
