Would be a huge mistake. Play Wright on the right and you dilute your best forward.

I really hope Lampard doesn’t get himself in the same mess Robins did when he has lots of forward options. He needs to keep it simple. Wide left. Wright or EMC. Wide right Sakamoto or Rodrigues. Central. Simms BTA or Bassette. Don’t try and keep everyone happy. It can’t be done.

Agreed. Grimes has been the icing on the cake. Things were obviously nicely freshened up before he arrived. Wright will be interesting as realistically for him to play either EMC or Simms have to drop out. If he’s fit Wright plays as our best attacker by a distance. Nice problem to have!

I do think O’Hare is the sort of player who would have progressed with Lampard et al. In a way he hasn’t done at Sheff Utd.

Always looked a cut above any if their team, including the guy we tried to sign in Jan. The very definition of a no risk signing. I always thought it was a real coup for us that went slightly under the radar.
