One of those days. Our poor players got exposed. Collins cost two goals as is his want.,Lati bullied all game and Simms had all the aggression of a fluffy pillow.

Arse wipe of a first half. I simply cannot believe Collins has done it again. He cannot stop the ball when it has any semblance of power. He’s racking up the points cost and at the end it will have been enough to get a play off spot

    Ellis simms

Simms is what he is. He’s capable of getting a decent amount of goals at this level which is an obvious asset. But his all round game is severely lacking with things such as controlling the ball and passing being way off. As a professional I’d expect him to be working on that relentlessly but...

These will be two very tough games. Two teams fighting for their survival away from home. It’s the teams on the beach you want at this point.

    Grimes Sheaf Rudoni

Grimes has been an excellent signing. One signing has transformed our problem area to our strength. If Sheaf stays no need to add anything.

    Bassette myth

No, you are correct. He had a relatively poor 15 minutes. Let’s try and sell the 20 year old with international goals and appearances, championship goals and a fantastic attitude as soon as we can.

    3 games to go

This is the championship - it’s entirely possible.

    Bassette myth

So did Simms but were led to believe he had a great game.

    Bassette myth

He came on for a 15 minute cameo and was just busting a gut to do well. The reaction to him today is bizarre.

    WBA Ratings

Solid 7’s today with 8’s for Dasilva, Grimes and a 9 for Rudoni. Thought Simms struggled along with all the subs.

    3 games to go

If we can squeeze 10 points from the last 3 we’ll be OK.

I really want Simms to do well. If his confidence is high he’ll get a few goals. But it’s undisputable that his touch, passing and all round awareness is poor. We forgive it, and at Championship level for £3m it’s about what you get. But let’s not pretend he’s Regis.

Bassette just over keen to impress - no bad thing. Might be an unpopular view but I don’t think it was sticking with Simms. When he receives the ball it’s a genuine 50:50 as to whether he’ll find a teammate. Having said that I do like our front 3 at the minute

Ridiculous. Of course we all want to get there and stay there. Unfortunately it’s not that easy so you have to be realistic

Excellent win. Thought we controlled everything apart from a bit of complacency last 10. If we can just add a degree of ruthlessness we’ll be wiping teams out.

If we did go up it would simply be a cash grab and prepare for the championship again. Viewed in that context it would be a fun year and would get us parachute payments to boot

    Summer Transfer Window

Agree to some extent but MVE’s biggest plus point is that full backs in the PL don’t need to be able to defend these days. Players like Alexander-Arnold are some of the worst defensively that you will ever see.

    Epic

Yes, exciting times. I must admit in the near past there were times when I didn’t think we’d pay a transfer fee again, have any sort of meaningful success or appear on TV etc. There are frustrating times such as the most recent game but it has to be framed in the wider context.

    Summer Transfer Window

To be fair £10m for a player of his age isn’t a gamble for a prem team in terms of Van Ewijk. On balance I’d take it and reinvest in two players similar to the price bracket we originally got him at RB and LB. Then spaff the Yok cash on the Sheaf replacement. Any other bits and pieces go on a...
