As they're all under contract why release them and have to pay up their contracts now when we need to finance a massive squad rebuild? We may well be looking to find them new clubs, either permanent or on loan, but if we've got to pay them anyway we may as well have them available.

Do you mean the likes of Burroughs, McGrath and Rowe? They aren't second year scholars. The club haven't said what is happening with the academy players, though I think most will be released as it's largely been first years playing.
