    Lampard to West Ham

Think he’s got back on his managerial feet here. Don’t see him leaving imminently. King is backing him, the squad is improving from the summer and there is a feel good factor at the minute with the stadium.

    Torp X factor

I’m not surprised at this at all. It measures what he is good at. But we’re 4 games in. He’s scored some good goals which he has the technique to do. But he still goes missing in games, especially late on. His overall contribution in his position needs to be all over the pitch for 90 minutes.

    Were are we now?

Rosario was great in that midfield role which no one really expected. Another who switched well was Phil Babb who came as a full back but turned into a really good centre back.

    Who’d be an owner.

Crikey, there is some tactical nonsense weaved in with ridiculous expectation here. We’re now meant to have a squad that has 3 first teamers for every position and that has to be expanded to accomodate midfield nuances as well. It’s ridiculous. We have 6 players capable of starting in midfield...

Does anyone else feel that we’ve been sold short ?

Ah yes. Media outlets. Famed for accuracy and reliability.

You don’t even go to games. What would you know.

    Who’d be an owner.

We may lose players next summer. But again, the owner has done the smart thing with long contracts. IF we lose those three we’ll have a lot of cash in the same way we did when we sold Gyok & Hamer. We instantly had 5/6 saleable assets rather than 2. That’s life as a club outside the top 4/5. At...

    My take on the window

Unfortunately you can’t legislate for 2-3 players in every position being injured whoever you are. That’s football. It’s ridiculous to say who comes in if 2 in that role are out. How many first teamers in each position would be satisfactory??

Does anyone else feel that we’ve been sold short ?

But arent you relieved you’ll still be watching Wright, Saka, Rudoni, MVE, Grimes ??

    Were are we now?

Eccles was far more impactful than Sheaf last season and is a very good player. Allen is proven championship quality. I don’t see a problem in midfield and we need to see a bit more of Andrews.

    Spot on agree 100%

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

The idea of a window is to strengthen. Not to add assorted dross. We’re not building a squad from scratch, we’re finessing a top 5 team. We’ve added RB cover, LB strength and we’ve swapped Binks for Woolfenden and added Rushworth. We had to do the deal for Sheaf and he was impacting less and...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

In. Brau, KKH, Woolfenden, Rushworth Out. Binks, Sheaf. Retained. A shedload of proven championship talent. I think it’s been an excellent window.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Meltdown because we’ve loaned out a winger who’s not featured for over a season. Classic.

    Who’d be an owner.

You’ve bought your club from the worst owners in its history. You’ve invested in its infrastructure and made a bold decision to get a new coaching set up in which has paid off. You’ve managed to get cash for some very dubious players and you’ve even achieved the previously impossible by buying...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

We play Eccles. Or we play Allen. Or we play Andrews. So when you say the squad is painfully thin you mean we’ve lost one injury prone midfielder?

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

    No it doesn’t. Absolutely ridiculous.

Woolfenden done. They’re obviously after 1 more. If we get Woolfenden it’s an excellent window.
