Would we have work permit issues like Rente?

Indeed they did, but for me the doubt still remains about our set up against the better teams. I still fear Southgate will alter the way we play to be more defensive to nullify the big teams rather than continuing to do what does so well and play on the front foot with confidence.

Nope. Let them moan and doubt. Let's get the right people we want in rather than just make a signing to shut a few people up. Even if we did make a signing it'd be two days before it'd be ""FFS Sign someone else! We need more players!"

Cos it's a pre-season training camp. It's about hard work and getting the players fit. They will want as few distractions and interruptions as possible to follow the programme they want the players to complete and there will be very little dead time in it.

Doug King live on air Monday

So why hasn't he donated to the ST fund? Or is it cos he does a lot of work for charidee, mate, but he doesn't like to talk about it.

I heard it was because the contract had been printed out in black and white, not colour.

I'd much prefer to sign his brothers, twins Baz and Matty

    Hamer

But if he knows he'd be offered 25k-35k elsewhere and is willing to re-sign for us for less I think that would show great commitment.

I have considered that could be the case, but for that amount I'd suggest we meet it as a final offer and if he then rejects or stalls on signing we look to sell him.

I think they're talking about the increase from his current wage.

I think Cat A would be a bit high at that price too. But that's my feeling on what the club will be charging. Will be interesting to see what price match packages are too. They've only really been worthwhile for Cat A the last couple of years.

Assuming the categories are kept, I reckon £25, £30, £35.

If they sell then it's a decent strategy and would likely see the prices rise again the season after. If they don't then it's information for how much they may need to lower the following season's price. Although there is apparently a waiting list, it's quite possible a number of them will not...

    Season Tickets!!!

I agree that it has been poorly communicated. I feel pretty sure that Doug had the intention of expanding the FZ with the original pricing, where there was a massive gap between junior prices there and elsewhere. When there was uproar about those prices and he dropped them, he probably did so...

He needs to strike a balance. Of course the infrastructure needs massive improvement, but at the same time you can't totally neglect the team at it's expense. That is, after all, the product you're selling so it has to at least be of a half decent standard now. Failure to provide that will see...

I think we'd go to about £4m for a proven striker, presuming we get c. £20m for Vik. We might spread the net and buy 2 or 3, and maybe get a loan but losing so many goals we have to be looking at serious targets rather than taking a punt. We've got to replace Waghorn and Walker as well.
