I think waving it is an acceptable form of indicating you want the fight stopped but ref doesn't need to accept it (as he doesn't even if it comes in). Don't think it's the reason for the clock discrepancy anyway, he obviously doesn't see it & bell shouldn't go early but is interesting all the same.

Lots of little tweaks all over the park saw everybody step up a level, particularly by looking to press higher up the pitch. I'd love Sheaf to play with that level of aggression every week, he can be too passive at times but was excellent 2nd half - he's a real confidence player.

Jeez, how are people still not understanding this!? 😂 It is not an offence to stand in an offside position. The offence only occurs when he plays the ball/interferes which was in our half so that is where the free-kick is taken.

Yeah, that's fair but then his role is allowing us to get the best from Gyok. I think he can adapt if Gyökeres wasn't playing for example & grab more goals himself but also be a good foil for Walker as well. If Gyökeres stops scoring it's hopefully because opponents start doubling up/paying...

Waghorn is about far more than just goals too, his link up play is excellent.
