An On The Field Thread - Who will be at CB ?

I've just had a call asking if I've still got my shinpads. Get on that 3/1 relegation betting now.

Attracting players (given embargo is lifted)

We can pretty much guarantee first team football.

    Next Saturday Nuneaton match

Don't let Lee Burge near them though, you'll never see them again.

    3-1 to go down

That has only eight teams who have longer odds than us on average. It doesn't so much scream 'Cov are going down' as it does 'no idea who's any good in this division'

    Next Saturday Nuneaton match

The corresponding game last year was the pits, especially compared to the free-flowing festival of O'Donovan one-on-ones that was the Hinckley match.

    Godiva Festival 2013

We saw a gang o' players hanging round the ice cream vans. Jordan Clarke at the back, but we weren't sure if one was Cyrus Christie and it'd feel a bit racist to guess further.

Questions for the new sisu loving members

I can tell you with authority that at least one player has an account here. The username is NandoJC, but I can't work out which player it is.

Questions for the new sisu loving members

They could have just viewed as a visitor any time throughout the last year and see season ticket holders be referred to as traitors, worms and scum by 'real' fans, they wouldn't need to register a single account to disrupt any unity.

Questions for the new sisu loving members

Full house in this thread. Jesus, an army of Tim Fisher-appointed posters?

Wake up supporters - you are being conned!

Just to note, you called the original poster both Tim Fisher and then Grendel. It's hardly the model of open discussion and objectivity.

Wake up supporters - you are being conned!

The shame with there only being Fisher now is that it's too much of a challenge to come up with anything more ridiculous than things he's actually said in reality. Man's a spoilsport.

Imagine if a protest at Northampton during a game got media attention, and the question was asked 'what do you say to the people who have not joined the protest' Would a better answer be 'we respect their decision but hope to convince them', or 'we've just been shouting scab at them'

It's not continuing as if everything is fine, it's just continuing to support the team. It doesn't advocate what's going on any more than any of us were supporting sexual abuse by watching Marlon King turn out up front. The whole penny campaign isn't a factual method to achieve a goal, it's a...

    The opposite way

It's happened on this forum, particularly last season as season ticket holders were referred to as anything from scum to worms, and general hints at traitor. Including from one guy who flouts his own tax avoidance, which boggles the mind. People who want to go see their football team play...

And abusing the completely wrong targets. If people continue to go watch the team they're not the enemy or supporting SISU or whatever the spin is (in much the same way as season ticket holders have been incredibly referred to as worms and scum here), they just want to watch the team.

At the moment, people viewing from the outside tend to be sympathetic. Do this and they'd rightly think of us as a deserving bunch of dicks.

He's saying to travel to watch Northampton rather than Cov, to show that money or travel isn't the issue but the owners specifically.
