What was this too many loans on teamsheet all about ?

Callum Wilson, will be a much better player than Maddison

Where is the magic money to buy Hanson going to come from? Are you offering a couple hundred thousand? Would a 27 year old CB prefer to play against a 19 year old scrawny kid who they can out power, and be dirty too (with the ref standard in this league, unchecked), who has never experienced...

    Judgement of signings

Nick has never said he doesn't have talent, but he has played 20 games for the first team, and only played well in a few. Everyone saw the way he took on players at the start of the season when the pressure was off, and he could drop the shoulder, and pick a pass. But he like the others have...

Now that is something everyone on the forum can agree on... 3 good performances from him all season.

It's not about the the individual parts, it's how the team functions, you need a player like Haber, for teams such as Bradford away from home.

I rated Proshwitz tbf, i thought he looked a good player, but i know a lot didn't like him, and it seems like you didn't? haha

Not sure anybody is losing an argument, it's just discussing ones opinions is it not?

    Judgement of signings

Stokes was a Hockaday signing as previously pointed out in the thread? I may be wrong but wasn't Donnelly brought in, in January 2014? So it wan't towards the end of his time at the club? Pennington signed in November 2014? From which time we signed: Madine, Turgott, Proschwitz and Odelusi...

As i said if Bristol Rovers come up, then why sign for coventry? Might as well sign at a club, which he can earn more at at the same level, would argue, Bristol have more of a plan than coventry, who just seem to wing it every season?

I agree, he has talent, but he hasn't put together a run of games yet, or really picked up the team when they needed it. He could have a future, but I don't think he is the next Ross Barkley. But would be happy to be proven wrong. Will also monitor his progression closely and wish him all the best.

TM has a better success ratio than SP imo, by some distance. Don't take that as me disliking SP, because i actually do, think he has the potential to be a decent manager. However would also point out, SP used part of his playing budget to sort out the structural side of the club?

Tbh Bristol Rovers, have a billionaire chairman now, if they come up, expect him to sign a new contract, and on more than we can offer him.

How can you say Stephens not played that many games when he played more than: Dagnall, Maguire and Petrasso for us?

I didn't literally mean ALL of his signings but compared to TM the majority were?

    Judgement of signings

Again disagree, it was often Clarke that covered for Webster imo, as whenever he attempted to head the ball it skimmed off his head. He had some good games, but he wasn't solid. Did he stop having faith? Or was he trying to add competition once Kent and JOB were leaving? And with so many...

    Judgement of signings

No disagree completely RE Webster, we leaked goals all season with him and Clarke at CB, terrible record in terms of goals conceded? Don't think you can count Maguire as he didn't play more than two games for us? Petrasso agree, but compared TM has had miles more success in terms of loans?

    Judgement of signings

He has had two good performances: Crewe and Bury. He adds nothing to open play imo, his set pieces are the best in the division. But that doesn't make him a success to be honest. I brought some friends to a couple home games, one a Leicester and one a Tottenham fan, both thought he was pretty awful.

    Judgement of signings

Yeah I think i would agree with that. I think Cole by himself may have been okay, as he was someone to look up to, It was the other 3 (Hunt, Ramage and Henderson) which i think upset the balance a bit. Also the loss of Kent meaning that Trio of loan players, weren't there.

Well except I don't think any of SP's signings were a success? I can't even remember that players we brought in tbh under SP there were so many. Who did we bring in that window?

Out of result of desperation to get more bodies in? Or do you think TM just got it wrong?
