I think it's more to do with overloading as we run a small squad and have a manager reluctant to make in-game changes.

Yeah, it's decent enough. But to play at a play-off level we're going to need the first teamers playing the vast majority of the time. The squad is fine for the odd appearance or off the bench but they're not quite the same quality.

Isn't that just a crisis of confidence if they don't believe in themselves?

Glad the lad's signed but not having any new bodies in the building immediately means we're relying very heavily on players playing lots of minutes and not getting injured.

Seems to be a bogey ground/team for me. Torp in for Sheaf (though I don't think he'll last 90 so Allen to replace him at some point) and Simms in for Godden. Wonder if Kelly may be kept around now given Sheaf's injury?
