I agree in so far as when I watch Kitching I don't see a great player, I see a slightly above average one. Capable of some good stuff (some diagonals etc.) but also capable of annoying discipline. But for whatever reason when he's in our team we seem to get better results than when he's not.

How many times does he not get onside though? And that third goal owed as much to Allen holding onto the ball long enough for Wright to be onside. He should have been able to play that pass much earlier if Wright was better positioned.

I do now certainly believe we're good enough to go up. But that doesn't necessarily mean we will . Too long to go and too many uncontrollable variables to be that confident yet. We look a decent side even in matches we're not at our best but we're coming up to probably our hardest run of games...

Still think it's mad that the person who has to pick the team, tactics and coach the players doesn't get the final say on who those players might be. Instead someone detached day to day from that is. Of course a manager can screw up signings. If they screw up too many they should get the sack...
