Maybe 1 foul was potentially worthy of the yellow card (not even the foul he made to get the card in the first place imho). Wouldn't necessarily say he's a hot head, but rather a tenacious midfielder. Thought Bristol players who couldn't keep up with him were trying hard to bait the ref into...
I think 50 points should be a minimum target for safety. That’s quite tough to do and works out to 16-17 wins. We should have played for a draw at 1-1 today, but went for the win by playing with 2 strikers and ran out of steam and ended up losing. 2 sloppy goals given. Lessons learned and...
We ran out of gas after about 70 mins and luckily didn’t lose more heavily. They let us attack and were happy to conserve energy and hit us later. We should have taken our chances earlier. We need to learn our lesson and improve.
Just been on the Bristol City forum and they admit they are lucky to be on level terms with their us. I’m delighted with the way we’ve played especially after the horrible start. Really feel we can and should win.
Perhaps we could play 2 strikers at times this season (Godden deeper and Walker in a more advanced position) - so as not to isolate 1 striker on his own upfront.
Was counting on him to finally offer our team something (maybe off the bench) and really thought he was past the worst. Such a shame. This has to be the last straw unfortunately. For his own safety and well-being he needs to step away. Some things are just not meant to be.
Time to rotate the squad, but still have enough quality to try and scrape a win. Players like Biamou, JJones, Wilson, Mason, Eccles, Burroughs, Rowe, Sheaf, Hilssner, Bapaga should be given minutes.
Thought the concept kits were better than what we have this season. Also feel last year's kits were the best we've had in a while. Not sure if this year's kit will grow on me.
Such a long injury list does not bode well with the season just under 3 weeks away. Hope for a speedy recovery for all and for new signings to come through the door asap.
Yes, the fixture list looks intimidating on paper and the reality of our task at hand to survive next season hits home. I'm having butterflies and hope we have 2-3 key signings in place before the season starts. But this is what we have been working towards - to play the so-called bigger teams...
With the season less than a month away, is the outcome of this game any cause for concern? I was upbeat after the defeat to Rangers because they were so far ahead in terms of preparation than us and are one of 2 best teams in Scotland by far. But after all the early predictions in this game...
