Like I told Otis, I'd gladly admit I was wrong, but after our earlier losses to Luton/Swansea, I wonder how many people saw a comeback from 2-0 down. We seem to save our best for the top teams and lose to shitty teams like this.
I think a 3 way tie and shared honors between Gyo, Hamer and O’Hare would be the most equitable solution. Personally I’d put Gyo ahead of O’Hare followed by Hamer, the latter whose performances of late have been much more of what I’d like to see from him. Yesterday’s corner for the first goal...
Lots of great memories along the way from L2 to now. Long may it continue and hope we go from strength to strength and head back to the EPL post haste.
Bad loss I’m afraid. 2 teams heading in opposite directions will only make for a 1-sided match. Hope I’m proven wrong, but even if we were to get a result, it will be too little too late.
Thought Rose’s goal versus Reading was good. I kind of rate him. Maybe the Prem team will look at his “header” versus Luton at home and change their minds.
SISU being the cheapskates that they are is what’s cost a potential playoff berth for this team. No 2 ways about it. Robins said as much by saying how their squad was so deep and full of quality while ours struggles mightily in the final third. Seems like we need 3 times as many chances as other...
Surprising to see how far they’ve come since late last year and how we’ve regressed. They seemed candidates for relegation and we were dreaming of autos/playoffs.
If I were deciding between Hamer and Sheaf, I’d sell the latter all day - not that Sheaf hasn’t improved vastly which I think he has this season. However, I think we could find someone better to take his place, more so than Hamer.
Watching the EFL Trophy final. Sutton have played fairly well and have some decent players. They actually taken the lead now. We might need to unearth some gems from the lower leagues considering our budget, especially if we want to hang on to our main assets.
