Collins is has been better than Wilson in almost every statistic. Save%, pass completion, crosses claimed. Collins is on +3.3 PSxG while Wilson is at -2.8 (essentially how many more/less goals they’ve saved vs expected totals). No contest for me.

Because even the most clinical players in the world can’t maintain that (e.g. Harry Kane has scored ~1.4x his npxg over the last year). I suppose my point wasn’t that out scoring your xg itself is bad, but xg is a better long term indicator than goals scored.

Doubling your xg isn’t generally a good sign long term

With 2-3 years left on their deals they would have to be truly unbelievable offers. And taking in £50m or something silly in transfer income would only be good in the long term.
