    Is History Repeating itself

Stoke had pitiful crowds in the Championship until they achieved success at which point crowds increased massively. Which will be exactly the same case with us IF we ever start to climb the leagues. Which obviously won't happen under the cunts that currently own us.

    What's to sell

Or keep striking gold with the likes of Wilson/Maddison coming through the youth team and selling them on to bail them out each year. The club is all but dead and nobody seems to be able to stop it. So so sad.

    Sad reality of our city

It always used to piss me off when I used to come up to home games back in the late 90s and when walking across the big green (don't know what its called) next to Sky Blue Way you would see young kids having a kick around all in replica kits and not one was in a City one. We were an established...

1 league home win in 11 games since beating Yeovil 13 September 2014....

I've done two - won both. I'm sticking with that, can't beat a 100% record.

Last night was the lowest home crowd in Coventry since 1962

We also got 1,500-odd v Millwall in the FMC in 1985. The OP is clearly talking about league crowds, however.

    Pressley out

Partly down to the fact that the bulk of the most dissatisfied supporters have voted with their feet and therefore aren't at the game to vent their feelings in person.

If you have any feelings towards Coventry City football club

I still care about the club (although I have to admit its waning) but won't be going due to being at work 200 miles away. Am I excused, Pete?

I thought it was reputed that Dion signed a £16K per week contract in 1998 with us to make him our highest ever wage earner? I could be dreaming that but the figure sticks in my mind for some reason.

    Bolton Wanderers forward Sanmi Odelusi

He did have Moussa and Baker creating chances for him and Leon Clarke alongside him. I'd score goals in L1 with that sort of support.

    Strachan days

My view, based purely on the squad at his disposal, is that Phil Neal was our most successful manager. To finish midtable in the PL 93/94 with a squad including Morgan, Rennie, Harford, Boland, Flynn, Sheridan, Pickering (Ally), Robertson, Jenkinson, Darby, Kruszinski and Gayle was nothing...

Lowest ever season tally for a City top scorer

Cheers. So our top scorer has finished with less than 10 goals 3 times in the last quarter of a century and two of those ended in relegation.

Lowest ever season tally for a City top scorer

So as we head into February with our top scorer on 5 (isn't it great being a City fan?), does anybody know what the lowest ever figure is for our end of season top scorer? My distant memory seems to recall Speedie was top with about 9 in 89/90 and possibly Gallacher with 9 in 91/92.
